Q of the Week: Biggest question facing your fav team for 2025?

So what is the biggest question facing your favorite IHSA Football team for the 2025 season?

Mine? Ok I'll take my home school for this exercise which is Minooka. Can 2025 see Minooka finally put things together and make a solid run in 8A? The Indians have been winning but have run into a wall in the post-season. What has to happen? The Nook has facilities (including a newly renovated weight room and a field house soon on the way) a newly renovated stadium, numbers on all levels and great community support. So what has to happen to make that next step up happen?

Last season MC was replacing a lot but they had Jack Elliott....this year MC is loaded.....but they don't have Jack Elliott.....who will replace him? Blainey Dowlings younger brother Emmett? Parker Startz younger brother Ryder? Outstanding QB from last years Freshman team Ryan D'Andrea? Will a transfer appear (I've heard absolutely nothing on a transfer I'm saying it for dramatic effect). The three mentioned though are all very capable and will have a loaded line 2 solid RBs and 3 outstanding WR's at their disposal.

D’Andrea is a stud. He should def be in the mix.

Was very impressed on what I saw with him. When they moved Thorton to Varsity that hurt them vs BR but he still excelled. He will be in the mix this year Im sure.

In addition to QB , I need to see who will be at corner along with Harrington. Tough test right off the bat with Ohio POY 56 TD passes.

I know Peter Patton was a 3 yr starter....the QB who played for Fitzgerald last year was really good. I know Lee is a stud though. His Father was a good QB

Well yeah; that's what I meant. Oles, Dersnah, Santiago. I think they do go further towards reaching their potential in 2015, 2022 and 2024 with those guys. I feel like they've had the best talent the school has ever had during Olsen's tenure, but have consistently underperformed. I'd kill to get Splitt back TBH.

I think he's from Skokie. According to deepdishfootball.com, he was a top recruit in 8th grade, already 6'2 and 178. He fixed his eyes on Carmel and never even glanced at Loyola..

Tough test right off the bat with Ohio POY 56 TD passes.

Their QB is an ace, but he doesn't have our squadron of receivers. Nobody does, not even LWE with their recent poaching. And I'm sure that Lynch, with the help of Marty O'Brien, will find or develop another lockdown corner.

That's always an issue among other things...

It’s possible they live in Skokie. Small part of Skokie goes to Evanston schools. He was at an Evanston middle school. Was a really good hoops player too, don’t know if he’s playing at MC.
