Maybe he sees an opportunity to grow the program & be closer to family?Sheesh. Really wanted to leave Kankakee
Fair. I don’t love that he only was at Kankakee for 2 years, but I believe both he & wife are from NW suburbs, so maybe this was rare opportunity to get to well paid school district, closer to family.I'm not taking a dig at Evanston. That's 6 years at EG. He had his first successful season in year 6 and jumped ship. Then 2 years at Kankakee, where he picked up where Hart left off. Now jumping ship again. I just find it highly peculiar.
Not sure of pay for coaches.. Looks like he isn't a teacher or Admin, is that right? Because looks like there would be a big pay gap for teachers between both districts. Not sure that extends to coaching though. No worries. He is from Prospect. Something just doesn't track for me. From just a personal belief, I don't like coaches jumping around unless there's a clear and obvious reason like major pay or competitive landscape reasons. I'm not sure of there being a big difference from the Ks to Evanston pay wise or competitive wise. I do think Evanston is a sleeping giant, though.
From what I saw, he is a special ed teacher as well as coach. I would expect a significant bump at Evanston, however I’d imagine the housing prices would negate that 🤷♂️Not sure of pay for coaches.. Well unless Evanston is like CPS, he doesn't have to live in district. From what I saw, he is a special ed teacher as well as coach. I would expect a significant bump at Evanston, however I’d imagine the housing prices would negate that 🤷♂️
With Kanakee being a unit district, and Evanston not, it will be a signifigant raise (eventually $20,000-40,000) difference yearly for him long term at E-town.From what I saw, he is a special ed teacher as well as coach. Yes these coaches love working with the kids but they have to provide for their families. Good for him. That’s a big increase. With Kanakee being a unit district, and Evanston not, it will be a signifigant raise (eventually $20,000-40,000) difference yearly for him long term at E-town.
