Q of the Week: Biggest question facing your fav team for 2025?

So what is the biggest question facing your favorite IHSA Football team for the 2025 season?

Mine? Ok I'll take my home school for this exercise which is Minooka. Can 2025 see Minooka finally put things together and make a solid run in 8A? The Indians have been winning but have run into a wall in the post-season. What has to happen? The Nook has facilities (including a newly renovated weight room and a field house soon on the way) a newly renovated stadium, numbers on all levels and great community support. So what has to happen to make that next step up happen?

Last season MC was replacing a lot but they had Jack Elliott....this year MC is loaded.....but they don't have Jack Elliott.....who will replace him? Blainey Dowlings younger brother Emmett? Parker Startz younger brother Ryder? Outstanding QB from last years Freshman team Ryan D'Andrea? Will a transfer appear (I've heard absolutely nothing on a transfer I'm saying it for dramatic effect). The three mentioned though are all very capable and will have a loaded line 2 solid RBs and 3 outstanding WR's at their disposal.

D’Andrea is a stud. He should def be in the mix.

Was very impressed on what I saw with him. When they moved Thorton to Varsity that hurt them vs BR but he still excelled. He will be in the mix this year Im sure.

You guys got Burrell from Evanston, could you send one of those QBs the other direction to complete the deal? 🤣🤣🤣

In addition to QB , I need to see who will be at corner along with Harrington. Tough test right off the bat with Ohio POY 56 TD passes.

Ramblers are going to be young. Potentially starting a sophomore at qb. A sophomore starting WR likely. Not sure the last time LA started a sophomore qb on varsity. It’s been a while.

I know Peter Patton was a 3 yr starter....the QB who played for Fitzgerald last year was really good. I know Lee is a stud though. His Father was a good QB

Do you think it will ever happen for Minooka? Everything you said is correct, but the best they've done is 2 Semifinal appearances in their history. The really excel in Wrestling and baseball, but football has never been consistently good. It is strange for all the advantages they have yet they can never turn the corner in the playoffs.

Well yeah; that's what I meant. Oles, Dersnah, Santiago. I think they do go further towards reaching their potential in 2015, 2022 and 2024 with those guys. I feel like they've had the best talent the school has ever had during Olsen's tenure, but have consistently underperformed. I'd kill to get Splitt back TBH.

Haven't followed them as closely as I used to, but are they keeping their top athletes or do they losing them to private schools? I feel like I remember that for a while there was quite a few Minooka kids going to JCA.
