Bears

Stinky team. Anyone else think Kmet looks like Ashton Kutcher?
Kmet had a horrible game. Actually cost the Bears twice in this game.

They need to fire Eberflus for his own mental health. He is a bad fit for the Bears. He has been a bad fit. Check his record. The team can’t trust him and the fans are done with him. Say what you want but our rookie QB is setting records for a rookie QB. Receiving, TDs and Completions without an interception. He has a bright future, maybe not with the Bears but he is going to be good. You haters can keep hating but he isn’t the problem. Honestly the problem is he was drafted by the wrong team. The Bears are a shit show top to bottom.

Now if only he knew how to read a clock.

Yeah if only he wasn’t a rookie and has a coach who could coach. My god you are expecting a rookie to coach himself. This kid has literally taken a beating playing for the Bears. Hasn’t complained once. We are lucky he hasn’t been injured. Some of you fools were worried because you say him cry after a loss in college. LMAO
Heaters going to hate. Like I said he will be good if giving time to grow. If not with the Bears elsewhere. He isn’t the problem the ownership and coaching are the issue. Bears can’t get out of their own way. This year is over now is a growth year and learning what it’s like to play in the league. Change coaches and start next year.

It doesn't matter if he's a rookie, it doesn't take a genius to know you can't sit and read the defense with the clock ticking. If that's something he needs to be coached on then he's in trouble.

4A you don’t like him never have so you’re going to hate regardless what he does. Yes he is going to make mistakes yes he should’ve could’ve and would’ve. That’s when a good coach is there to help. The kid got his brains beat out in this game and the entire season but he keeps getting better. Did not see that? He has improved and he is setting records. Wins will come when the whole team improves and it needs to start with the coaching. The Bears have let this kid down in my opinion.

Bears endless organizational cycle

Fire the QB, then Fire the OC, then fire the HC and then start all over again from the beginning.

Hmmm. I wonder what cliche' the coach will use this week ? " We are going to keep working hard ", I liked our efforts in the 4th quarter " ? Maybe he'll have a new one. Let's hope

For $39 Million in guaranteed money plus his endorsements, YES ! If I were a Bears fan and coach I would expect him to be game ready day 1. That said I’ve said for years the Bears needed to blow it all up and start over prior to 2014-15, it’s been a decade of BS and excuses since.

Didn't call him Peyton Manning. I'm merely pointing out that you can't judge him purely on what is happening now. That's ridiculous. If the Colts did that with Peyton Manning, for example, they would have wasted all that talent

Why is it all on the coaches? Yes, he's improved and that's great, but he was good enough to win a Heisman and be drafted #1 overall he shouldn't need to be coached up to know you need to hurry when the clock is running out.

Also, what about the throw to DJ a few plays prior on the crossing route where Moore likely would have scored but the ball was behind him and at his feet. It's great that he's continuing to improve, but he still barely completed 50% of his passes today.

It’s 100% on Eberflus.

QB sacked with 32 secs left and WR’s down field. It’s going to take several seconds to get everyone back to the LOS and run a play.

You call TO with 32 secs and that leaves plenty of time to run a play and then run the FG squad out there.

The QB does what he’s told there. He’s not in charge of clock management and play calls.

Dude, quit making excuses for him. It’s week after week for him. Eberflus should be fired tomorrow. Problem is, we have no one so replace him with for the remainder of the season.

Oh yes, the old fire drill FG, that's a high percentage play 🙄.

They were back at the LOS with about 22 seconds left and Caleb didn't snap the ball until there was 6 seconds left! No coach at any level is instructing his QB to stand there for 16 seconds before snapping the ball.

Now if they were back at the line with 22 seconds left and the snap comes with 12-15 seconds you can make any play you want even over the middle then you call the TO and you can take your time with the FG.

Just saw highlights and you can even see Eberflus and players yelling to snap the ball.

It’s funny that everyone hates the coaches yet you have faith in them and want them to call a play and then be able to potentially rush the FG team out if the play would have been in bounds or think that they can call a successful sideline play. Similar to the GB game and everyone said they should have run another play before the FG yet you have no faith in the coaches. So which is it, the coaches are inept or you trust them to run more plays?

It’s not hard to run a play w 32 secs and then run the FG unit in. Thats a world of time.

These aren’t HS kids.

Eberflus has even defended the time management. Said he would do everything the same again. Dudes toast.

They ran a play with 32 seconds left, Caleb got sacked. It's the play after that, at the LOS with 22 seconds left and he doesn't snap it until there's 6 seconds left. Flus can be seen in the replay yelling to snap the ball. Why did he wait 16 seconds at that point in the game before snapping the ball???

Eberflus needs to go. His record with the Bears

Eberflus record with the Bears 14-31 enough said. It’s a joke.

Love how you're all saying it's the coaches, it's the coaches, yet no one has an answer for why Caleb didn't snap the ball. Also, you've loved the new OC the last 2 weeks and now...

You need to go rewatch it. Your facts aren’t correct. In the chaos of everything - The guys weren’t even all back and lined up till 9 seconds to go.

I don’t blame a rookie QB for time Managment there. HC needs to own clock Managment … not a rookie QB.

As Bill Cowher said, “Eberflus just froze”

I generally tend to agree with you on many things Bears, but there have been multiple instances this season that point to poor management from the coaching staff. In many of those cases, the blame also encompasses individual players, but the head coach is always ultimately responsible when mistakes are made from a strategy standpoint. Eberflus has got to go. ASAP.

Agreed. Did Caleb make mistakes in the end of game situation? Yes. But once again the coaching staff bungled it. They use their second timeout in a dead ball situation, then fail to use the third when confusion reigned on the field. It’s almost incomprehensible how consistently bad Eberflus and his staff have been in end of game situations from the Commanders to Packers and now this Lions debacle.

Just saw Caleb's presser and he said he changed the play and started to say they didn't have any timeouts but caught himself. So he thought it was wise to change the play with the clock ticking and under 20 seconds and he thought they didn't have a TO, awesome.

Caleb doesn’t get a free pass on this with me but HC has to be in charge of clock at that moment. When you see it’s not going well you call the TO…it’s not that hard.

Also, not a game Kmet is putting on his Hudl page, my goodnesss.

Caleb definitely made mistakes at the end of the game. You might want to remind yourself that he also threw 3 TDs in the 2nd half to get the Bears back in a game that was very one-sided in the 1st half.

He changed a route bc the time was running down. He didn’t change the play (audible).

That's all I'm talking about. You want to talk about the entire game, yes he played well, but I'm just talking about this play.
