Bears

A really really really banged up SF, maybe a one game bump with a new HC for Bears, Caleb playing better past few games. It's actually quite possible.
Bears could be just as banged up. DJ and Swift questionable and Johnson is out.

My thoughts about these three.

I really like Freeman but he has zero experience in the NFL. Done well at Notre Damn . He is young 38, has ties to the Bears when the drafted him in the 5th round. Again no NFL experience coaching any position.
Less money. Love Notre Damn may not want to leave.

Belichick would fix the defense pronto and wouldn’t make bonehead decisions in the game. He wouldn’t take shit from the players. None of that Tom foolery arguing with fans and the stupid penalties. He would want full control. I am not convinced he be good for our offense. I don’t think Owners would give him full control. Big money

John Gruden seems like a wild card but could be a good fit. Not totally convinced but he is a fiery guy that doesn’t take crap and understands offensive schemes and QBs. I could see Chicago fans liking him. He is interesting but not sure. Would want money but not as much as Belichick would want.

Where did you see any serious mention of Belichick? Forget that he's had 2 interviews with UNC I'm not interested in a coach who will be 73 at the start of next season.

No one has mentioned Gruden either. Love the guy but he's been banished from the NFL.

I am not disagreeing with you A4. Gruden threw his name in the hat. Goggle it. I am not saying the Bears are interested or interviewing. He just said it would be very interested in the Bears head coaching position.

In your post mentioning 3 names you literally said the Bears were looking at those names.

Okay the names are being brought up. You’re just trying to start a fight 😂 like you always do. People say one thing you disagree or try to make it bigger than it is. Goggle it all these names are being discussed. Maybe not nit by the Bears? Or maybe they are. You don’t know. Carry on.

A4fan and Suncubfan
Who would want as the next Bears head coach? It would be interesting to see who you guys would pick.
My list hasn't changed from when they were last looking. Mike Vrabel, Ben Johnson, Cliff Kingsbury, Bobby Slowik, and possibly Aaron Glenn.

I was just commenting on the post you made. Sorry I wasn't able to infer you meant something different then what you actually said.

Johnson is my number 1 as of right now.

Btw, you said Bears are looking at those 3.
Big difference from reporting that bears are looking at those 3 and those names being tossed around the internet…just saying.

It’s like the Kyle Shanahan article from Florio. He floated an idea and people ran with it…it’s just clickbait.

This is the second time you've mentioned "goggle". You're starting to make me think it's an alternative search engine

If I were picking from this group. I would go with
Cliff Kingsbury
Ben Johnson

I think Vrabel would be a rerun of sorts. Defensive coach. He had his shot and his record as head coach was 54-45. Mike as a player he was great LB/DE Superbowl winner just hasn’t translated the same as a HC. I do like him but not sure he is what the Bears need for HC.
Slowik seems to be taking a lot of heat lately for the offensive woes of late. So is he another Eberflus type?
Aaron Glenn I am leaning towards an offensive HC this go around. I not totally against just MO.

Vrabel wouldn’t be my top pick but I wouldn’t be mad either.
Kingsbury is interesting, seems like he could boom or bust, jmo.
Johnson will have plenty of interest.
IF Bears finish season strong, especially on O, Brown will be a favorite I believe. Not saying that’s what I want just an observation.

Kliff Kingsbury was 28-37 in Arizona and lost the 1 playoff game.
Mike Vrabel, was 54-45 with a 2-3 playoff record. Keep in mind the GM they hired decimated his team the last two years he was there (his only two losing seasons.)

Can't see how you think Vrabel somehow is a worse choice than Kingsbury. Especially when anyone around football knows that Vrabel gets the most out of his players.

Point taking about Kingsbury. I am going by what he is currently doing.
Like I said I don’t dislike Vrabel. Just feel he
might not be the best choice with all the others out there.

5 yds passing at halftime. Do you sit Williams in the 2nd half or keep playing him ? His confidence has to be at 0

This is the whole team mentality

I thought he looks like the guy on That 70’s Show passing around the smoke. :p
Dropped TD today, OPI’s on Thanksgiving, missed blocks against the Packers - he’s been a major disappointment this season.

Good thing he’s podcasting though.

He’s not making Juan Soto money. Holy smokes what just broke.

Yeah that was nuts.

All I’m saying is this: Ryan Poles gave Nate Davis a bag of money and he was run out of town for his effort. Poles gave Kmet a bag of money and it’s been dropped passed, offensive pass interference calls, missed blocks that have led to turnovers.

He shouldn’t get a pass because he’s from Arlington Heights.
