This isn’t the playoff caliber defense we all thought they would be. Talent is there but something is off. Can’t stop the run, giving up to many yards especially in key moments. Pass defense is suspect but it could be because our d-line isn’t getting enough pressure. They are not terrible but definitely not great. Maybe Eberfool isn’t calling the right scheme in the right moments? Eberfool is the defensive coach so maybe that has something to do with it. Who knows but certainly not the defense we thought we had.
We will see tonight if they can rally against Detroit.

Again, numbers don't lie, this is a top 10 defense. You say they can't stop the run yet they rank 11th in rush yards/game. Not sure if you were expecting shutouts every game, but the defense has given them a chance to win just about every game. It's the offense that's putrid.

Thursday game benefits the Bears. Teams keep it more vanilla than normal on short weeks. Bears are already vanilla so it's like every other week!

Again it's a top 10 defense, so your assessment are incorrect. People are so high on the Lions because they are currently the favorites to win the Super Bowl. That combined with the lack of offense from the Bears makes the matchup more unbalanced.

You're basing your opinion on one and a half above average games by the offense since that's all you care about, but the defense has been stout.

The Bears had the lead against MN, Packers and Washington. Have you been watching the games? Actually check the scoring the Bears actually lost in these games late in the 4th quarter by letting the other team come from behind.

Our stout defense has lost the lead in at least 3 games if not more in the 4th quarter. Stop it. I didn’t say they were terrible just not great. By the way our Rookie Quarterback has put them in position to win those 3 games but just not enough. The Bears are not good period. They won’t be good until they get a new coach and that may not happen with this ownership.
