Below is the computer-generated rankings of the CCL/ESCC teams. Take it for what its worth. It'll probably be the only time I post it because I'm not linked into any of the sites' APIs nor do I even want to look into automating the process but still having one non-driving child left and practices to sit through allows me to do some of these exercises in futility by hand. Thank you hockey.

Formula: pulled from Massey and Calpreps, every team vs Nazareth, every team vs Providence both taken at neutral sites (why those 2? I knew I wouldn't get 62 point spreads and differing styles (as if it matters, but I can't assume). I can see Massey weights last year more than Calpreps (both probably use exponential smoothing or some form of weighted moving average (with obviously different weights, i.e. see Fenwick) but who knows, maybe one of the sites use HS football to practice more intense AI or ML data analysis techniques, if they do, hat tip, they're more deranged than me). Anyway, see Fenwick for the most extreme example, CP ranks them 18th and Massey has them 7th. Do not call in a wellness check on me, I'm fine, just something I was interested in and an hour to kill. ucon just means universal consensus. stop laughing.

I was thinking along those lines and originally had MC -41 but I think Coach Lynch, who wouldn’t mind throwing that 60 on them will decide playoff health over a full revenge and pull who he has to pull when and remember a big IF he can. It’s not like BR is going to roll over and take a spanking.

It would be sandbagging if I thought they had a chance. I do not think Rice has a chance. They didn’t drop off as far as I thought they would, and I have been pleasantly surprised by them this year. But this is a deep and experienced Caravan that will be playing with a chip on their shoulders.

If Rice wins I would be very happy. But I also respect MC and the team they have on the field this year.

MC took all they could handle this week from a conference rival, but McCar didn't struggle this week as he takes the crown for the week and moves into a tie for first with pj and me after spotting us 8 games in week 1.

Par was 6.9. So joining McCar in gaining on the field were iggy (who left the NND Benet game off), escc, bnr and 3ow. usd and ramblin entered the clubhouse with respectable 7s.

Lausch In at the end of quarter final game against MC on defense may have not been his brightest coaching move. Even though the hit that caused him to limp into Wheaton North Semi-final game occurred earlier in game via vicious hit from Owen Schikell. Guessing coach Badkes Ego got in the way with that decision. Probably cost him a semi-final victory and the best HS athlete in a generation a ring. Guessing that’s why coach hangs on to “OWNING MC”. Theres a lot of young men and their families that are very appreciative of the life lessons learned through the BR football program the last decade or so. Built on Faith, family, football.. it’s one thing to say it but another to live it.

I guess you are right, there’s no hardware to show for it but a few semis and a 2nd place finish
