This is what made it not a bet. The other side had no risk. It was more a challenge. So Jwar owes $1000?

Naz played 6A not 5A in 2014. Also for a school who has never won a thing and has never even gotten past the quarter finals why would they petition up.Same argument as always. I have no issues with 30 mile radii or recruiting, matter of fact I don't think there should be radii or rules against recruiting to private schools, people should be able to send their kid where they want to AND be able to play a sport. IIjust don't think the two schools can be equitably placed in a playoff together. But people like jwar and ramblin want Naz and their 12 D1 kids to not only not play in the top class, but to not even be multiplied up.
My argument was that Naz didnt resemble what 5A public schools look like from a football perspective as shown by the 12 D1's. But some of those guys prefer to win in a class which almost has no hope to challenge them than to move up and possibly lose in a good game.
This thread is basically tribalism on display. You'll note that every single person supporting jwar in the thread is a private guy or agrees politically or both, despite the issue not having to do with either.
I did forget one. so 14I just counted 13 D1 2 D2 and a handful D3 I could have missed a D1 though.

I am against playoff split. Reason is come playoffs I love going to new stadiums and see different programs no matter what the class. We're back to the same discussion. Didn't say they should request up. The IHSA did what they could to keep the two together, I prefer them together at the top classes, but neither side is ever going to see the current system as fair.
Because I'm pragmatic I understand, even though I don't necessarily want it, that a playoff split would be equitable. I realize to some that makes me enemy #1 without addressing the actual argument.
I completely understand that angle. Best part about the playoffs is seeing new teams, towns, stadiums, traditions, etc. A split would provide that for you maybe for a few years, but then would probably get repetitive. For me, I'd want to see Loyola or Naz or Rice etc every so often.I am against playoff split. Reason is come playoffs I love going to new stadiums and see different programs no matter what the class.

But that's me talking as a fan of one of the largest schools in the country with a history of talent. The Dwight HS "me" probably doesn't see a chance to compete.
Geez - I really did unleash a water vortex in the pot
Geez - I really did unleash a water vortex in the pot - but now I’m even more confused. We have no input from Jwar and some of this stuff is over 4 years old via the old threads.
Sounds like the bet was invalidated due to Morris coach cheating? Or was the bet 14 D1 guys on the 2014 Naz team?
Funny thing is they do know, just not when it doesn't suit them.Correct, but the private school fans do not see that angle, they do not see or care about the difference between Dwight and Mac or a Coal City and an IC. In the bigger classes the difference is not as noticeable, in the smaller classes it is huge. So not only is it a private vs public issue, but also a Chicagoland vs a downstate issue. My two cents.

The testing #'s thread is the perfect place to see it. They know if they have a good football class coming in. Some of them filter out the riff Raff. Some have selective enrollment where you have to get a certain score apparently, etc which is fine, but it shows they know the enrollments are completely different...only in that thread. But in the threads about classification suddenly the enrollments are the same.
It's tribalism. That challenge had nothing to do with anything, but now you have to scramble to find a reason to support a garbage human being that has been exposed in lie after lie.No, the issue is you lost a bet and didn't pay. Simple. Maybe no one taught you this is not a good idea?
You go ahead and keep that, but you show me one post where you defended it to a private guy whining about it like ramblin or jwar.Show me one post where I am critical of the multiplier or success factor. If you find one I will pay $100 to the charity of your choice. If you don't, $100 to Montini.

*Sees no quote*I've defended it countless times on this board and my stance is well known by most posters on this board, particularly regulars longer than a few years. So your all-inclusive statement about private posters is incorrect. So you move the goalposts.

Well, he's in other threads fighting the war against Christmas (after a career of bearing false witness none the less), you have acknowledged that saving a few bucks is more important than other people's rights and freedoms (see North Carolina, I believe that was the state you were championing).Assuming you are lumping me in as a Jwar supporter and since I’m not a private school guy, I’m curious what Jwar believes politically. If he’s not a flag burning far left liberal progressive socialist atheist and he’s not a religious fanatic far right war mongering conservative, than you might be on to something.

@mchsalumniDo you expect us to like the multiplier and defend it as you do? That ain't happening. I grudgingly accept the multiplier, as long as there is no success factor applied solely to non-boundaried schools. Frankly, give me the success factor and no multiplier.
What frosts my ass are public school apologists like you who CONTINUE TO WHINE about unlevel playing fields 14 years after the multiplier was instituted. You got your way, then you CONTINUED TO WHINE and you got your success factor on top of that. Still, that's not enough for you. You continue to whine.
Bunch of babies. Grow up. Pay up.
It's all tribalism. It has nothing to do with you but you see a chance to shakedown someone for a G to a private school so you're all for it. You're basically HHS for private schools.Tribalism has nothing to do with my beef with you. Truth be told, I have no idea what your current beef with jwar is all about, and I don't care. My only interest in this thread came after another poster made me realize that you had never made good on your word to donate $1000 to Naz.

What does any of it have to do with YOU?SHAKE DOWN? Bones, you put in writing what you said you would do. Nobody held a gun to your head to write what you wrote. You OFFERED it as a challenge, and you have not honored it after having been proven wrong. How is that a shake down?
Still crying. The guy said he was never critical of the multiplier, but that's not enough for you? You expect him to defend it against people who are critical of it?
You obviously won't be satisfied relative to private schools and the multiplier until private school supporters bend over and say, "Thank you sir, may I have another?"
What a crock of crap.

It's plain as day. I am still awaiting your post, maybe I missed it, telling jwar to stop being an asshat.

You issued a public challenge. You should either pay up and prove that you have done so, or slink away with your tail between your legs never to return. It's bad enough that you are a welsher, and far worse that you have the shameless audacity to show your face as often as you do in the very arena in which you have welshed.
Do you feel the same about Jwar?
@mchsalumni
Here is your chance to explain it.
Why, did he welsh too?
Truth be told, I am not following that argument, nor do I care to. jwar and I have definitely had our none-too-friendly battles over the years.
He has been caught in several lies, to me is the same as welshing on a bet.
Not even close .He has been caught in several lies, to me is the same as welshing on a bet.
