That’s sounds like a cliche. Crete gets over hyped every year. Just saying if we’re talking about underachieving it’s the Warriors. I know people from Crete and it’s seems to always be the same story. I am not sure why.
My first experience with Crete was when we went up there in 2018 in a 1 pt loss. Lots of homecooking and loud, rabid fans and players.... I wonder what would have happened had we took advantage of the dozen missed op's and won.

Woodshed meet GBS, GBS meet the woodshed. 42-0 clocked game vs Kankakee. 2 years in a row got shutout in playoffs when not playing a CPS school. Maybe a petition up to 7A next season will finally be the answer!
And not too long ago Marist did defeat LA twice in one season. Not many teams have beaten LA twice in 5 years, let alone twice in a season. Good luck to the Redhawks.
I was at both of those games. Secret weapon in game two was a freshman WR Carnell Tate. Sort of a big deal now LOL. Marist D front has always held its own against the well trained Loyola O Line. For fans of line play it’s fun to watch. I’m not sure Marist has the horses but I can’t wait to find out. Sounds like the game will be Saturday. I was hoping for one more Friday night lights. N

Chatham didn't have enough players on the Crete kickoff, Crete recovered the onside kick but they touched if before going 10 yards. 7+ minutes left in the game.
