Yeah @skinsfootball isn't around much and knows nothing about me or my Morris roots.

Was absolutely sandbagging the first two rounds, but this round is an accurate assessment, they just don't have the speed.

Cmon, I'm not buying it. SF has wins over the #2 & #6 teams in the state. They are the prohibitive favorite here. Sycamore has not seen anything close to the athletes St Francis will have on the offensive side of the ball on Saturday.

Rochelle over Nazareth - now I personally think Naz shouldn’t have a problem, but when I listen to our resident Naz expert @tuccs I don’t see based on his analysis how Naz wins.

Will be a similar game to MP's game last week against Metamora. Morris will score but doesn't have the speed to keep up with MP.

Morris coach isn't the brightest and will try to go score for score with MP and will fail. Morris' only chance is to slow the game down and limit MP's possessions. If Morris goes full on "T" formation and marches down the field 4-6 yards at a time they have a chance, but they won't do that.

MP by at least 2 scores.

It's not a coincidence that all 5 are still playing this weekend. However Rochelle is also very physical and worthy to be mentioned with the above.

There's also this proposal submitted by Williamsville on behalf of the Sangamo Conference --

Summary of Proposed Changes: Removes the 1.65 multiplier and the multiplier waiver for all schools. Replaced with enrollments of non-boundary schools to be the average enrollment of all public/boundaried high schools that are above that school’s enrollment and within a 30-mile radius of the school.• In three (3) class sports, non-boundaried schools will not move more than one class higher than their multiplied enrollment from the previous enrollment cycle.• In sports of four classes or more, non-boundaried schools will not move more than two classes higher than their multiplied enrollment from the previous enrollment cycle.• The multiplied enrollment (1.65) will only be used to determine the initial placement in the 2024-2025 school year.

Something similar was submitted last year but I don't know if it was voted on or withdrawn. I also have no clue as to whether it would have a shot at passing.

I'm gonna go with Sycamore over St Francis.

I know its a big money grab, but don't they have any shame? NFHS gives a kickback to IHSA and to every other state agency they have a contract with, leaving no money for equipment or technical support. At the Better Business Bureau, NFHS averages one star out of five--and that's because the reviewers can't give zero stars.
