Rochester 21 Effingham 14 Half

After witnessing my beloved Leafs being destroyed by Carterville - Carterville will be no cake walk for Rochester if they meet most likely in the quarters.
Rochester had more turnovers in the first half than they did all season. Derek said this was a terrible week of practice. DC Buecker was out sick and the decision was made to not compromise the players with potential spread of his cold, so he stayed home. In the first half, it was noticed an almost confusion in personnel packages on both side of the ball. Even on an extra point. That was significantly cleaned up in the second half. Breese and its ball control offense has been to Rochester before and was successful for about a quarter. Rochester then beat them by 35. Expect things to get straightened out this week for Round 2.

I will add as well, Carterville, plays a schedule about 25% lower ranked than Rochester. And Rochester scores a touchdown more per game than Carterville while playing schools almost twice the size of Carterville's schedule.

A lot of attention is given to the success of Rochester is due to its offense but under Buecker the defense has shutdown potent offenses. Many times playing more minutes due to quickness which Rochester scores.

This is second year in a row that MTZ lost in 1st round. Last year, MTZ was favored based on seeds and tougher schedule but lost its qb which allowed Paris to advance. This year BC was the higher seed but with MTZ coming out of Apollo I expected them to advance.

It sounds a little strange to say after giving up 62 points Week 1, but the defense has played great the rest of the season and has proven better than the 2021 Rockets. This has occurred despite not having an important defensive lineman for the entire season due to injury.

I think the points allowed have been 84 since the game 1 debacle.

Carterville fans are pretty pissed at the knowledge theyre 11-0 going against 10-1 Rochester in Carterville and being deemed the underdog. It's funny watching them scour the Rochester page for bulletin board material. They're proclaiming Rochester is playing mind games.

If the Rockets are playing mind games now, they will be playing physical games on Saturday. Carterville fans will be wishing it was only mind games they had to worry about!

Ohhhhh, theyre gonna be posting this on some bulletin board. Lol

We can only hope so!!!
I am watching the rochester fan page and some dude from Carterville is really pissed at them. It's kind of hilarious. The Carterville fan is misquoting Carterville stats and forgetting Rochester held teams with better stats to fewer yards. The dude tried to bring up Loyola from last year and the admin at the Rochester page said, "when you decide to travel across the state to play ESL or to a Chicago 8A school, let us know. In the meantime, during the same week last year, you lost to a team which didn't make the playoffs and neither did you." That was a polite way of telling the dude to sit down. Lol

If the Carterville fans thought the odds of winning the top prize in the Powerball drawing were high, wait 'till tomorrow!!

Quotes from facebook boards and comments on newspaper articles set the stage for a big quarterfinal clash. Definitely has a major impact on how the kids play. I'm sure the kids are scouring through it all for that added motivation.

They had better concentrate on the upcoming game, not what some posters happen to write.
