Bears

Funny how both Justin Fields and Caleb Williams won on Sunday and yet neither of them led their offense to a single TD. Good thing they had a defense that played well. Just take the damned win!

And did you happen to see any of the Dallas, Cleveland game? Deshaun Watson was horrible, especially in the first half. Meanwhile Baker Mayfield lit it up in Tampa against Washington leading some Browns fans and media to second guess the getting rid of Mayfield and signing Watson. Just goes to show you Chicago isn't the only place where fans get crazy week to week. Up and down like a rollercoaster.

How do the Bears do in game 1?

How does Caleb perform in game 1?

What week do we realize our offensive line issues are not yet fixed?
Just wondering if you're in any pools. I have been in one for years and there are about 225 people playing. Cash prizes at the end of the season for top 3 finishers and a free lunch for the weekly winner and his or her staff. I have finished year end first one year and third another. But, I never won a weekly prize...until week one. I went 15-1 in picks and the only one I missed was the Patriots, Bengals game. But so did everyone else.

This was unexpected for me because I always start the season very slowly then catch up as the season goes on. Nice to have a good start for once.

Yep, I am picking Houston to Beat the Bears Sunday night.

Any predictions on tonight's game?

Do we know if all of our WRs will be playing tonight?

Based on your score prediction sounds like we lost our all pro corner all pro safety and pow corner. That’s cool enjoy the game.
Houston's a bit of a different animal than the Titans. Think they'll play well early but get worn down late in the game. Offense will have trouble moving the ball leading to short fields for the Texans.

Hope I'm wrong and the rookies show out like others did today. Harrison went off, Nabers had a big day, and Daniels didn't have a TD but threw for 225 and was very efficient.

Plus the Bears never fare well on national TV and those god awful orange jersey's aren't a good way to start.

Spot on unfortunately! Go Bears anyway!

Would love to see a throwback home version of what they have in white already.
They've had alt home blues before where the numbers were all orange, but other than that what would that look like? The home jerseys have been virtually unchanged forever.

Stroud is incredible! Maybe a top 3 NFL QB in the league after this year.

Caleb seems to never step up in the pocket and make a throw when there is pressure. He always moves backwards.

Seems like Caleb is never looking to run forward for positive yardage. Instead he will run east and west.

We knew that before the draft and everyone on this board wanted playmakers instead of O-Linemen.
So which is it, the OL is terrible or Caleb runs backwards when pressured? He's not helping his OL by running backwards versus stepping up in the pocket. Plus as they discussed earlier, and I mentioned before, you get about 2.5 seconds to get rid of the ball in the NFL. The OL needs work but Caleb isn't doing them any favors.

Where is the pocket to step up in? He’s consistently gotten pressure up the middle.

Good question!

It really is an all around problem. I still don't like how Waldron is utilizing Kmet. Also, keep an eye on the route combos. So many out and up routes, very few shallow post/in/slants

Yes tonight it's been mainly pressure up the middle

Anyone know where Roshon Johnson is hiding??
Great question. I want to know what's going on there. He was a solid rookie last year and then he was a healthy scratch last week. I can't see how Homer has out performed him.

He hasn't utilized Kmet and that's the problem. Kmet could be huge in this offense as a check down for Williams but he's rarely on the field.

It’s the play calling. They haven’t run the ball well yet they are calling long passes and the receivers are not open. They won’t be open if we can’t get the Safety to move up to help stop the run.

What? What long passes? Everything has been check downs or short passes. Caleb has one less completion than Stroud but 60 less yard. They aren't calling long passes.
