Bears

Fitting end. Poor execution by the Bears. Another hold to extend the play. Chef's kiss

I know they rushed 4 linemen but only 2 put pressure on QB. Why not rush 5 hard?

I know it's the db's job to finish, but 2 starters are out.

Why even give him the chance to heave it down and everyone's prepared to fight for the ball?

Not so sure they will beat Arizona with the way they played today.

i haven't felt this awful about the Bears since the double doink missed field goal by whats-his-name.

Especially awful after they scored the TD and tw pointer.

This could wipe out the progress they've made to date.

Jayden moves ahead of Caleb.

Sorry this loss falls squarely on coaching. This was a 💩 game called. Terrible
I am not sure the Bears can win with this coaching regardless of the players we have.
Lol what? Held the highest scoring team to lowest points all year. Held the most efficient passer to only 55%. Were in a position to win and it's on the coaching? Ok...

So Caleb having only 40 yards passing going into the 4th had nothing to do with it?

It really sucks but that sheet happens from time to time.

I’m surprised anyone is hanging their hat on a rookie.
He didn’t play well. But with the game on the line he led what should’ve been two scoring drives.

Yah he’s a rookie so we get days like this.

This game was a fire able game for the coaching staff. Not prepared not disciplined and on the final play not coached.

William will be fine and this team will win the games it’s supposed to but they aren’t at the elite level yet or even close.

And for anyone that thinks Washington is elite I’ve got some swamp land for sale.

This team is clearly better but cannot get out of its own way.

Do the coaches only coach defense?

But that last play is on Byars. He is a former pro bowl player. You can not let anyone behind you. You deceive to go for the ball and that allowed the receiver behind him.

Also you have to bring at least 5 on the pass rush.

Yes, in the end, no excuses. As I typed, I have no idea why 5 rushers (going hard) wasn't called by the this stupid staff.

Why wait until something happens to make changes? Always so damn reactionary. Never proactive. What a loser's mentality by the coaching staff. It's a shame because no matter how pitiful the Bears were, they did come back and take the lead.

Let me ask all of you this, were you praising the coaching staff after the two nice wins going into the bye week? Or do coaches only get the blame? Why don't they get credit for coming up with a scheme to hold the highest scoring team in the league to their lowest point total all season? Or keeping a QB with a completion percentage over 70 to only 55%? Or keeping the team mentally tough when they couldn't get anything going for three quarters?

Why doesn't Caleb get any blame for his dismal first 3 quarters? Outside of the run play to the back up Center what was wrong with the plays that were called on offense? What was wrong with the offensive scheme? Washington is a good team and winning in the NFL is hard so I'm not sure why, especially as Bears fans, you expect, and almost demand perfection every week.

Sometimes coaches can call the perfect game and the better team still wins or, as is the case today, dumb f*cking luck happens.

You are smart guys, but you have a completely different mindset and outlook when you watch the Bears. Try watching a Bears game objectively like you would watch the 49ers/Cowboys and then evaluate it and not just look for someone to blame for everything.

Caleb was bad. Said it before but clearly you choose to selectively read.

He was a big reason the offense was bad in the first 2-1/2 qtrs.

Now he could’ve folded and faded and walked it off when the game was down and out, but he didn’t.

He was a different player in the fourth qtr. the type of player the Bears drafted.

It is what you get with a rookie QB. Daniels played better, but engineered one TD drive at the end.

I’m happy they have Williams. I would’ve taken him over Daniels as well.

There are areas that need fixing. OL is obvious one. DL can use some attention. They missed Gordon today because of what he can do. Hopefully they get him back next week vs Murray.

If you choose to read this you’ll see that Williams didn’t play well today - again he was bad. But he’s still the Bears QB that won’t change

My post wasn't aimed at you as multiple people sprinted to blame the coaches.

It's just funny how when Caleb was....let's say under performing today it was either crickets around here or people were blaming the defense for giving up too many yards. It's no secret I don't think he's the guy, I would love nothing more than to eat my words in a few years, but I sadly don't know if that will happen. People are trying so hard to convince themselves that he's "it" despite evidence to the opposite. Yes, he looked great against 2 of the worst teams in the league, but for the season I haven't been blown away.

I guess we will find out if there's aftermath. you're either coaching it, or you're allowing it to happen
We won't hear anything. You'll get a bunch of coach speak about how the the situation is being handled.

I'm sure that was the coaches fault
It’s the bears offensive coaching that blows.

The same coaching that the players had to call a meeting with the OC to get him right.

The same staff that continues to play the wrong personnel…
*Kmet should never be on the sideline with a TE in the game.
* #11 should never be asked to block a DE on the goal line.
*a TE should never run a bubble where WR’s are blocking for him
*ETC…

Same staff that had no idea how to run a GL offense for the first three weeks.

Same staff that ran the ball with a backup lineman on the goal line in a one score game in the 4th. You do that early in the game, when the game isn’t that close, 2pt play with a lead. You don’t do it down 5 late in the 4th!

All that to say, Eberflus is the HC and responsible for the OC. He allows this BS.

Works both ways.

Same coaching staff that game planned back to back games scoring 5 TDs.

Same offensive staff that averaged 24.7 ppg coming into today which ranked 12th in the league.

Same staff that is developing Caleb to the point that there are those of you that claim he's developing and growing nicely.

Same OC who brought Geno Smith back from the dead.

The play before the hail mary is all coaching. Have a CB up on each side, and Washington has to try a 65 yard hail mary (Daniels can’t throw it that far). Instead, the Bears give them a free 13 yards, and it’s throw that can get close to the endzone

And if the WR gets behind the corner he catches it, goes out of bounds, and theirnin FG range.

I realize its your job to argue with every post made, but there were 6 seconds left. Washington isn’t trying to run a 25 yard route to get into 57 yard FG range.
Not saying that, but even if they get 23 yards instead of 13 yards they likely have 2-3 seconds for a 55ish yard FG. Not a likely scenario but had they done that and got burned people would have been even more pissed.
