Huge upset win over Lincoln-Way West (6-2) for Homewood Flossmoor (4-4). The Vikings stay alive and have another big game next week against Lockport. Lockport pulled away from Bolingbrook late. Congrats to Feeto for calling this one.

Watched the first half as best I could. No scoreboard. No announcer. Just a camera and you can hear the PA guy who never mentioned the score or time or quarter until the first half ended.
Anyway, this loss KO's Grayslake Central as it is a half away from being 3-5.
Antioch is going to finish 9-0 and anyone who roots for that program better start praying now that on Oct. 21, the 5A pairings. put Antioch against a Chicago Public League 5-4 qualifier and NOT against a Chicago Catholic League 5-4 team.
If they draw a Nazareth type team, Antioch's going to get running-clocked.
Clearly, not all 9-0 teams are created equal.
Anyone who thought that Grayslake Central was going to have a successful season ... not even close to being semi-good.

7-7, missed Glenbard South TD, but Glenbard East answered methodically.

Short trip down LaGrange avenue for the Eagles. At 5-2 this may be the best Sandburg team in years. Any thoughts on this one? I know the Griffins are nursing some key injuries.

Here are my preseason thoughts on the North Suburban Conference.
1. This is Warren's conference, regardless of what McNulty has to say.
2. There does not seem to be a lot of Senior talent in this conference.
3. With the lack of Senior talent in this conference I feel the conference is set up for a let down.
4. Is there a conference in the state that gets less respect? A semifinalist and quarterfinalist a year ago and rarely do people talk about it.
5. Zion and Waukegan should both look to join the NLCC. The football scores (and results in other sports) get ugly.
