If you think the Chicago Catholic League fans have been anxious this week about. playoff possibilities, we pretty much already know we're getting 4-4 Providence vs. 4-4 Benet next week.
And depending on how things roll tonight, St. Rita (4-3 now) vs. Brother Rice (3-4 now), and Nazareth Academy (3-4 now) vs. Montini (5-2 now) could all have massive playoff implications.
That's especially so in that these type of 5-win teams are not just space fillers in the brackets but. legit players, so these games are where the spotlight will be next week ... ironically on these important matchups as opposed to unbeaten Mt. Carmel vs. unbeaten Loyola which are two teams many believe will be playing at ISU on Thanksgiving weekend (Loyola vs. Lincoln-Way East and Mt. Carmel vs. perhaps Batavia).
