MMXXIV Edition - CCL-ESCC Predictions Week I

Welcome back!
Our friends over at Gambletron have provided us with a new feature: Winning Probability. Should we transition to a pick 'em/confidence pool? Or should we stay with you vs the spread?
Either way, make your picks - if you'd like to rank them (many 99% games this week), fine. If not, cool by me. We have a Pick 'Em thread already and I don't want to step on toes.

EDGY via Daily Herald: Why I'm Obsessed with the Southwest Valley Conference

Although they never quite got over the hump, Bradley has had some very competitive games vs East since the Covid year. Probably more competitive than anyone else in the league over that stretch.
Usually when playing down at B-B, I think we would find. Teams can get ambushed or very nearly so down there.

CPL IS BACK BABY!!

We're back, sorry for my delayed response but I was shut down for heat emergency related issues thanks to the lovely folks in charge at CPS. Before I get into my hot hot picks, let's discuss how the good ol CPL chose to get their teams ready for the season. IHSA passes week zero, much needed practice situation for so many teams, CPS response? You can't practice after noon because of street closures and blockades for the convention. Primary problem? Teachers are back in meetings and not all schools are willing to change meeting schedules. So on to week 1, hey wait here's some heat for you better shut down the city. Everyone indoors! Not all CPS decisions as the city even shut down the fire academy! What are we doing in this world? 911 what's your emergency? Oh sorry it is too hot for us to conduct our services please try again when the weather cools down! Just embarrassing, and speaking of embarrassing let's get on to our Week 1 slate...

Catalyst Maria vs. Phoenix Academy
Phoenix might always be rising but it's hard to have ashes with a flame. You know what causes energy transformation? That's right a Catalyst! Give me the Sparx...

Chicago Vocational vs. Back of the Yards
No way I'm picking against CVS all year with good ol 51 up in heaven looking down on his alma mater all year long. Give me the Receipts

Kennedy vs Clemente
Missile Pigs riding high with the publicity, I like it.

Whitney Young vs Corliss
Whitney might have had their greatest football season ever last year, then promptly have their best player decide Morgan Park was a better fit. Nothing fishy (I know its a mammal, give me some creative room here) going on. Snakes!

DRW vs Collins
Legal case, huh? That Ghhost always good for the best laughs. In the case of DRW being the father of the Collins triplets, we find the results.... DRW is their DADDY!

Ok, so let's drill down some on Bradley for the past 3 seasons, since they escape playing LWE this year. Each of those seasons the Boilers "drew" the Griffins and every one of those years had enrollment smaller than LWC who avoided East entirely.
Although they never quite got over the hump, Bradley has had some very competitive games vs East since the Covid year. Probably more competitive than anyone else in the league over that stretch.
