Burlington Central at Geneva is an interesting one. I think BC can beat Geneva if Geneva doesn’t play their best.
Burlington central can definitely give Geneva fits, BC is battle tested, they also beat Praire ridge by a wide margin. Cary-Grove didn’t get a huge win against them as well.

MMXXIV Edition - CCL-ESCC Predictions Week XI

Special Teams, Special Teams and Special Teams will be a factor in Round 2. For example, i cannot believe how many teams cannot effectively punt the football or tackle on KO coverage.

SCN @ MC
I will take the point with Chuck North. Chuck can chuck it and MC has given up some point via the pass this year.

The Roadtucs roll but that's a lot of points, give them to me.

Morgan Park at Metamora

I've seen MP play several times this year their strategy is to play 7 on 7 in pads IMO:rolleyes:. CPL wasn't as competitive this year so them being tested since Marist hasn't happen. Last week seeing Tinley Park didn't show much besides if your team eats the clock they also need to be able to score the ball.
I'm taking the drive to Metamora, But will this be a ball game or should i just look for a place to eat after the game ?
All.... An FYI. The school parking lot fills up early with rabid Redbird fans. Many fans end up having to park in front of homes in the nearby neighberhood. Ratsy

SHG VS JCA ON RADIO

ALL.... SHG years ago used to have student media and do games then NFHS came along. I don't believe they have done an NFHS feed for a long time. Hoping it's decent for those not attending and decide to try NFHS. As everyone knows much depends upon the infrastructure and set up at the school on how well goes.

The projections which I thought were conservative and a bit low for the Hilltoppers. Massey - JCA 41 SHG 12 (93%) Calpreps JCA 40 SHG 6 (98%)

I saw that and thought the exact opposite. I think JC should be favored, but feel like the outcome is far from 90 plus percent certain for any side.

This JC defense is really good. The offense is capable. I know SHG has a few more losses than usual, but still the type of team and game that will give JC all they can handle.

I could see JC winning by 3 scores, but I can also see a game coming down to the wire and being decided on the last possession. I don't foresee the completely lopsided scores in those two projections.

Based on what I've read, it sounds like both teams will be going into this game on a health upswing which is always good to see. LF had lost 3/5 of their starting offensive line at midseason and was down to their fourth RB week 9 at Mundelein but both the starting left tackle and starting RB are expected to play Saturday...same is obviously true for Libertyville with the return of their starting RB.

This will be a very difficult game for LF to win and it feels more like a quarterfinals matchup one round early... hopefully will be a great game.
