Any insights on Normal?

We were in apartment #4. Thursday night after hours, Friday and Saturday parties. Three kegs for about $160, packed 200 in there and charged $3 a head - we lived like kings, second semester freshman year - spring of 1992. During the Rodney King Thing, there ended up being a shooting in the parking lot. That same night someone lit a couch on fire and sent it down the elevator in Watterson.

The cops came to us on Sunday afternoon and told us point blank, "This is not happening next year. We know it's the end of the semester - but do not even think about doing this again next year."

The place was trashed and we filled the walls with empties when we did drywall repair. Because I was a freshman, I was required to stay in the dorms, so I moved from Tri-Towers to Waterson. That roomie went home every weekend so I had my meal plan, a nice clean bed, and privacy for the little honeys that fluttered around.

GOD - life was sooooo good!
We also lived in #4 and did the same damn thing hosting keggers and making bank! And you said it, man, my life at ISU was so good. Good stuff!

Higher seeds should get the home game.

Im not sure either of you have ever heard of them before, but I came across this last night. Oddly, they come together and rank teams, seed them 1-4, then pick another 8 teams to fill out their bracket. And they use 3 (THREE!!!) different parameters to do all three. Crazy right. And I thought I was the only one who had this wild idea to use such a format. Maybe I could ask the CFP to compensate me for stealing my idea?

they're power ranking the entire top 25 and therefore the entire playoff field of 12, what do you mean "pick another 8 teams"? this is not comparable to power ranking the top 4 then adding 8 based on a different criteria.

it's also beyond ridiculous to suggest seeding a small portion of the teams differently than the rest just because you like it, so everyone is kind of ignoring that portion of your suggestion, because it's such a terrible idea. at least suggesting the entire playoffs be power ranked is a reasonable suggestion, though easier said than done.
No, it's completely biased based on the fact you only care about the top 4-8 teams.

I think it's fairly accurate being that the top teams are playing for the title more times than not in most classes regardless what seed they started as. I really don't care who who you feel deserves the easier path to the quarters or semis. You want to get that far, beat the team in front of you.

Lived at 99 East Cherry from 96-98. We had a fire that knocked us out of there for a few months in August '97.

I think this one is closer than many think. Normal has some high level athletes on offense.

Potentially least competitive quarterfinal games

I am confused. If the conference isn’t weak this year how is a 9-1 team supposed to get rolled this game. I mean do I think LWE will win? Yes but if Stevenson played in a good conference are you saying they played only weak teams within the conference and weak teams non-conference? I agree Warren is always tough but I feel they are a bit down this year. Maybe you guys are right maybe East is just that much better than just about everyone except maybe LA? Who knows it’s a weird year. LA, MC MS all losing a few games this year makes me wonder. That said they all seem to be playing well lately. Have they found there rhythm or is it the competition? Strange season.

Think you hit nail on head with East is just that much better.

So sorry, it's hard to keep up. Only the top 4 or maybe 8, all 32 is fine. Do it like the ncaa tourney, or even the way the take entries and seed tennis tournaments, oh and college baseball was a great comparison too. Tough to keep up with all the convoluted systems you're in favor of.
Way to miss the point. All of those were examples of tournaments that use a qualification and seeding process that you claim doesn't exist and/or can't work. It was a very basic comp. But apparently too confusing for you.

I’d say their conference this year was better than the one East played in. Three teams in the quarters, another that went 8-2 with two losses to quarterfinal teams.

Of late this conference has been down. This was not a down year.

A little confused at this comment. Both teams played and destroyed Benet.
I would say that Rochelle ran the ball well against Benet and Benet did themselves no favors in the turnover department. I think The Naz pass game shreds the Hubs TBH! My only hesitation is playing on grass else I’d say Naz -24. With Grass in mind I’ll say Naz -13.
