Somebody’s big mad in Antioch…and it’s only Friday

Massey does well, but they aren't gonna get it right all the time, either. They appeared to be way off on Lena Winslow-Althoff.

THIS!

There were many great Public/Private match up's in this years playoffs but DUE TO THE SEEDING they happened too early on. Loyola Academy/Lincoln Way East, Mt Carmel/Normal, Fenwick/Downers Grove North, DePaul/Coal City, and you can't get much closer then Byron/Montini. All great games decided by 1 score that went down to the wire.

You Need Oil to Make Shoes (USA Today report ESPN's Unsportsmanlike too)

Wow! I see it’s a bunch of old guys who have no clue on the new NIL era. Crusader is spot on with his statements, as Dierre Hill and others of his caliber have high market values. How else does Luther Burden end up at Mizzou over Georgia or Alabama?

Truthfully, I think you all are just bitter in your weak attempts to ground that kid’s exceptional and historic performance in a state game, regardless of the class.

What did we learn this season!?!?!?!

That was quick wasn’t it? 14 weeks and now…..nothin.

1 - That congrats are in order for the Crusaders, Knights, Broncos, Rams, Roadrunners, Flyers, Caravan and Ramblers for being best in class.
2 - That equal congrats are in order for the Panthers, Trojans, Sages, Braves, Hillmen, Vikings, Bulldogs and Dukes - they’re pretty good too.
3 - That the need for 1-32 seeding is greater than ever.
4 - That the divide between the haves and have nots in IHSA football is getting wider and this isn’t a public vs private comment.
5 - That all gas and no brakes Is still the top dog until someone in or out of our state takes them down.
6 - LW East is still good but Loyola is the equivalent to Ohio States Michigan.
7 - That it will never get old watching former Illinois stars playing at the next level and beyond.
8 - That conference realignments this year made for some intriguing in season matchups.
9 - That reading up on what the York coach went through in his cancer battle then leading his team to a state final is something I’m happy to have learned. Well done.
10 - That we only have 262 days until August 29 opening night.

Be well everyone that’s a wrap.

Finals predictions: Closest and Most lopsided title games

1A - Althoff -28
I REALLY didn’t like the way Lena looked vs Hope’s spread last year. This is hope on steroids.

2A - Chicago Christian - 3
Knights are this years team of destiny

3A - Montini - 42
3a south is no bueno

4A - DePaul - 4
I know nothing on either team. 😉

5A - Naz -3
Best game of the weekend

6A - ESL -4
I REALLY want to pick the Vikings but just can’t.
I’ll set the total points at 87 for this one.

7A - MC -28
I think Lynch has grown quite the distain for Batavia’s “one town one team” motto in protest of private schools and doesn’t call the dogs off.
Bulldogs will never be able to hang with Mt Carmel until they open up their offense.

8A - Loyola - 17
I do love to see a program lose their HC and then go further the next year. But this one will be all Ramblers.
I should be a bookie

Private Schools 7 - Public Schools 1. That’s a wrap!

They have tried different things (multiplier, success factor, etc) but none of them work to accurately place teams.

Split them into public and private like many other states and shrink down classes. That’s the best scenario for everyone for a more leveled plying field. They are HS kids, not professional athletes.
It’s boiling over in Tennessee. The TSSAA is forcing small private schools to play large ones who have trouble filling their schedule. 2 small privates are saying it’s not their problem & they’re not playing as they make their own schedules & the TSSAA is in for a lawsuit.

8:30 .... DPI = dude fell. Led to first score by Taylor.

9:41 Blue defender holds legs of white receiver after the tackle on the ground.

11:00: Correct DPI call - white catches weighed flag that would have hit him in the nuts. It was funny to me.

11:10: Sure looked like a fumble and blue recovery!!!! Hips and shoulder in the process of rotating, arm was never coming forward. Likely a pick up and D TD. Led to a score.

19:00l LONG scramble (no holds...) then a very ticky tacky DPI on white.

19:53: Missed inadvertent Facemasking by blue 15.

20;25: Just a badass run by Fresh Woods!

21:40: WEAK DPI called on white.

24:00: The questionable line pick. At 24:03, the tip of the ball is on the ground and there is no possession. Jack's reaction on the broadcast was infuriating, like, Oh Well - let them have it.

27:10: Artagus looking good in his orange coat!!!!
5:34 hold on #6 white to negate touchdown. 🤷🏾‍♂️

No holding calls against their O-Line that were pulling jerseys all day helped out their drives, but hey, we’re used to it. On one hand it’s said that our guys are bigger and faster, but somehow were “miraculously” neutralized. Anyone that believes that for one second should be examined. 😂😂
Had that same conversation leaving Hancock today. Our DL put pressure on Chahino all game. Esp in the 1st and 4th qtr. And somehow the Geneva OL didnt hold all game. None of the WR held on the quick screens either. Not sure how often it happens at any level of football where a qb has 50+ drop backs and the OL has 0 penalties.
