Mike O'Brien says that the Dukane is down this year. We have three teams at 9-1, Batavia, Geneva, and SCN, who all beat each other. How good is Batavia without Ryan Boe? Probably better than Lincoln Way West. How good is Ethan Plumb? His numbers are pretty even with Jack Elliott's. If both QBs are equal, then the outcome will depend on what the defenses bring. MC's secondary has been vulnerable but, after 10 games, this is no longer true. I see Elliott back to form, unimpeded by injury. I see Dan Taylor doing good things on both sides of the ball. I see a lopsided victory for MC.
Agreed. Game won in the trenches and I'll take MC's over SCN's.

New IHSA bylaw proposal seeks to eliminate Prep Bowl

It is actually quite amazing that the Prep Bowl tournament has gone on for so long as an outlier competition. Unless I am missing something, nothing remotely like it exists in any other IHSA sport. Carving out this exception is totally out-of-character for the organization.
It would be impractical for Spring sports due to extreme senioritis and lack of focus at the end of or past last day of school. AAU, Club and Travel fill the need for seasoning in other sports.

BYRON at MONTINI?

Considine was healthy against Dixon.

His dad is the DC and had a nice podcast with Edgy earlier this year.

On it he mentioned that the first stringers this year are just as good as last years but the depth isn’t the same. Last year the backups came in and dominated and that’s why the scores were so bad last year.

Byron's first string only play half games.
