Carol Stream (Ill.) Glenbard North senior three star ranked cornerback recruit Tyrik Henderson (5-foot-11, 160 pounds) decommitted from Minnesota last week and is back on the recruiting market. So what's next for Henderson?
"Right now I'm just playing everything by ear," Henderson said. "I'm starting to get in touch with more schools and I'm not going to be signing now until February now."
Henderson is also starting to line up some upcoming official visits including making a visit this coming weekend.
"I'm planning to visit Toledo next weekend. I've been in touch with Toledo now along with Western Michigan and several other MAC schools. Indiana and Nebraska also checked in last week and want to stay in touch."
Henderson is also looking ahead toward making more visits in January.
"Yeah my plan is to get out to see more schools in person in January. A lot of the coaches feel that some things could open up after the early signing period. So I'm just going to see how it goes for now, make some official visits in January then sign in February."
Thoughts on Henderson's recruiting: Decommitted from Minnesota last week via a mutual decision (academics) and is back on the market. Again a lot of things could open up after the December 20-22nd early signing period and I fully expect Henderson to draw more offers and take more visits in January.
