Sterling HS has a video scoreboard where they show instant replays of most plays during the game. They did it all of last year with no issues.

Last night, the officials stopped the game to tell the Sterling AD that they couldn't show replays.

What's the rule on that? The replays are NOT used for reviewing plays, obviously.

I've been to a number of high school fields that have shown replays, never heard the refs trying to stop it from happening.

Sounds like some defensive, self-conscious, and maybe unconfident refs. They show replays at state obviously and if it was against an IHSA rule they wouldn’t show them there either. I’m pretty sure Sacred Heart Griffin shows them, they have the video board for it anyway.
