Potentially least competitive quarterfinal games

I am confused. If the conference isn’t weak this year how is a 9-1 team supposed to get rolled this game. I mean do I think LWE will win? Yes but if Stevenson played in a good conference are you saying they played only weak teams within the conference and weak teams non-conference? I agree Warren is always tough but I feel they are a bit down this year. Maybe you guys are right maybe East is just that much better than just about everyone except maybe LA? Who knows it’s a weird year. LA, MC MS all losing a few games this year makes me wonder. That said they all seem to be playing well lately. Have they found there rhythm or is it the competition? Strange season.
You know the answer…

A little confused at this comment. Both teams played and destroyed Benet.
Running clock defines destroying someone to me. Put in you reserves and still win by 48…

Rochelle beat Benet handily yes. Were their reserves even in the game?

LWE's closest game is 21 pts. They have scored 40 points in 8 of 10 games.

They will beat Stevenson by at least 28.

I predict they win state by over 21 pts.

Coach Z will tell everyone at the end of the season this is the best team he has coached.

I am not sure he will say that. The 2005 team was pretty special offensively and defensively. Of course I am a bit partial to that team my son was a part of. 😊

Not the best team but for sure the best QB. Defense is very good but not typical Beast. I know they are dominating but past Beast defenses were lights out. Also I think 8A is a tad weaker than normal.

Belvidere North runs a similar option offense which should better prepare them for Cary-Grove than most. But, not having to prepare for that throughout their regular season, like CG has to prepare for PR, may prove key for this matchup.
Do other schools in Belvidere run the option? I want to say their was a school with purple around that area ran the option as well…on another note you’re correct, CG knows how to defend the option. I don’t know if it’ll be a huge blow out but maybe a 34-7 game CG

Fun note. 40+ years ago, CG attended a wishbone clinic put on by Vern Pottinger of Belvidere High School. They switched to that offense shortly after.
Another fun fact. This option attack isn’t the Barry Switzer option offense. This is the Fisher DeBerry Air Force option offense.

Played against that dreaded wishbone attack of Belvidere in the 87 semi-finals. My job was to put the pitch man down every play, whether he had the ball or not!

If you are looking for the least competitive semifinal games, one will be winner of Batavia/Downers Grove North vs. Bradley-Bourbonnais/Lincoln Way Central winner
You must not be familiar with either Bradley or LWC you gotta earn your wins against them
