Pitcher Shane Conlon tosses a 1-hitter with 9 strikeouts, no walks and no earned runs allowed over 5 innings in the Redhawks 11-1 win over West Chicago Friday. With the win, the Redhawks (26-4, 17-1)have clinched a share of the DuPage Valley Conference title.....

On Monday Central wins 1-0 over Glenbard North, a 4 hitter for Ludwig. This clinches the DVC title. During their recent 7 game win streak Central has only given up 8 runs. However all of a sudden good pitchers are shutting Central down, several games where they only scored 1 or 2 runs. If they want to go all the way, they will have to figure out how to score some more runs against good pitchers.

Yeah, I agree. Becaause most likely they're going to be going up against Lockport in the playoffs..a team that beat them a few weeks back.. The bats are gonna need to come around, or things could get tough. Coach Seiple will have to get the boys in the batting cages for some extra batting practice!

Congratulations to the Redhawks! First DVC crown since '06..

Howeyver if their pitchers keep pitching like they are, they may still win it all, Since May 1st, the top three pitchers (Ludwig, Conlon, Hallett) have pitched 56 innings (8 games) and allowed only 6 runs, 4 earned. That's an ERA of 0.50!
