Hit the nail square on the head ClownBaby........I know everyone on the board has already penciled in Rochester in this one but I think it’s a tight game and not decided until the the last 5mins.
Morris has always been a tough out and even when they are over matched they always seem to stick around, I think Friday will be no different and if they pull the upset I won’t be the least bit surprised.
This one reminded me so much of the Richards game in 89......no one,and i mean no one gave Morris a chance in hell to win the game let alone be in it.What a football game. Morris probably should have been finished after Rochester recovered the onside kick when they were already up 14 in the middle of the third quarter, but Morris showed a ton of heart to get a stop and pull themselves back into that game.
In the end, Rochester's recent experience in that setting was the difference, though. Baker's back-shoulder throw on that third score, the onside kick call, the fourth-and-one decision in their own territory late in the fourth to keep that game-winning drive alive... those are all really confidence-emboldening calls from Derek Leonard.
As for Morris, another heart-breaking finals loss. Lost in overtime in '89 to Richards, got stopped on the goalline against JCA in '01, lost on a last-second FG to Metamora in '07, lost by a single possession to Montini in '12 and now this.
Yes and yes. Isn't that how the "success factor" works? Why should certain schools be exempt from the success factor? How many 4A titles do they need to win? Why doesn't Leonard want to challenge his program in a higher class? So they’re to good so in the day of every team gets a trophy they should have to move up?
Ok put em in 5A. When they win a couple do they then move to 6?

Sounds like you may understand. Good boy. Can’t we ask that if every school then? SHG, Nazareth, Montini all should be 7A by that logic.
Prairie ridge surely is 8A next year if they win today.
Hey lz has been to state 5 times in 10 years. Surely they’re 8A now. And of course we have to create a whole new classification for Loyola Maine South LWE GBW etc.

Why not put all the non boundaries in one class so we can make sure even more teams get trophies. I would expand to 10 classes too. For sure that would fix everything.
No - just one open division would suffice.
SHG, Naz and Montini are all subject to the success factor, so they are operating under the rule that you suggest. In fact, Naz will be 7A next year. How many titles does Rochester need to win in 4A before the selective application of the success factor becomes a farce? Can’t we ask that if every school then? 3 1/2 fantastic games...give PP credit for an excellent first half..Kick was good but what a job by the holder.
Great way to cap a great day of HS football. 3 fantastic games
Lol, I think Morris gave them a challenge. At what point will Rochester want to challenge themselves and play up like East St Louis or Philipps. 18 of 19?
