I don’t know if Coach Bartz did it in 1980 but Coach Frank did it when he came in and we started playing on Thanksgiving weekend consistently so 30 plus years ago.

Open practice on Thanksgiving morning. Lots of Alumni players and coaches show up. A few will speak to the team. I heard this year David Lenti spoke, along with Mike McGrew and Bobby Sanders.

A fun Turkey Bowl is normally held between the reserves and Soph call ups with the starters helping out.
