My impressions of Quadre Nicholson: I was able to see Quadre Nicholson live last summer at the Maine West team 7on7 along with seeing Nicholson at various camps and showcase events over the past year plus. Nicholson on the hoof is an impressive looking athlete who no question has Power 5 size and frame and is a kid who has the ability to add more weight and size in college.
Evaluation of Quadre Nicholson: Nicholson overall is an impressive ball carrier who combines terrific straight line speed, a very fluid rand smooth running style along with having the ability to just make people miss him either in traffic or in the open field. Nicholson really impresses me with his first few steps along with his strong footwork in general. Nicholson makes good reads, reacts well to his blocks and also knows how to wait for his blocks to set up. Nicholson also has the ability to just flat outrun opposing defenders. Nicholson is also uncanny in being able to stop and start on a dime and change direction when required.
Room for improvement? Unfortunately I don't see a lot of Nicholson catching the football in his highlights so I'm sure others will want to see how well he can catch the football lout of the backfield. Nicholson will need to work on maintaining better overall lean and bend heading thru the line of scrimmage while also being abler to add a bit more size/strength to withstand the punishment of becoming a down in and down out running back in college. Added strength and muscle will also help Nicholson better shake initial tacklers.
Projected level: Rivals has Quadre Nicholson ranked as a mid level 3 star RB in the Class of 2020.
Nicholson has already been racking up the early FBS level offers so his recruiting stock is already established. Nicholson is a pretty high level athlete who shows some real potential to become a Big Ten caliber runner in college.
I'll start off Quadre Nicholson as a mid to high 3 star ranked running back.Nicholson has a ton of potential and upside for the next level and if he can continue to make positive strifes in improving his overall game? Nicholson has the ability to become say a low 4 star ranked name in this class.
