Tonight Providence (Freshman) beat Lincoln-Way Central 41-20.
Yet according to the IHSA website all these teams are co-oped this season. Must have called a gang truce:Can’t Co-Op because of rivalry with gangs which is almost as pathetic as Hillcrest people not turning in the killers of that young man last year
Yes.Mr M still picking games?
Rocky - any insights, here?No stream, hearing they might potentially air the game with no audio. Best bet is to get up to 77th Western.
Look at the history of both teams. I was a young tyke but was at the 1974 West win over Joliet Catholic. West shit the bed the rest of the year otherwise would have made the playoffsI don't know a lot about JT West but I remember hearing they returned several starters and have high expectations this year. This may not be an upset.
I’m with you!!!!!Joliet West over Morris.
Those athletes are hand picked of the 330... Shows that Rochester isn't afraid to play the elite teams...Ritter appears to have around 330 students, while Rochester is near 700.
Mr M still picking games?South County News "Mr. Pick'em" Predictions
Richmond Burton 19 QND 14
SHG 28 Mascoutah 7
East Peoria 20 Lanphier 0
Chatham 24 North County 20
Bloomington 17 U High 15
Cardinal Ritter 35 Rochester 28
Jacksonville 30 Eisenhower 13
MacArthur 41 Springfield 27
Lincoln 27 Southeast 14
I would say if JW won it would be one of there biggest wins in a long time.IDC if they return 11 starters on both sides of the ball ... if they beat Morris, it's an UPSET
Joliet West over Morris.

That teacher was creepy even in those days 😂Wanna hear something creepy about how I learned I was an ectomorph?
Back in the Middle Ages during my freshman year of college at the small liberal arts school I attended, we all had to fulfill a semester-long general Phys Ed requirement. On the second or third day of our P.E. class, the teacher (also the well-respected and long-tenured head FB coach, btw) had all the guys in our males only class remove our shirts, and he took Polaroid photos of each of us individually standing against the wall of the racquet ball court wearing only our college-issued phys ed shorts (which, being in the 1970s, were pretty darn short). He then had us study all of the photos of our classmates and classify them by body type (ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorph). Yikes!
Can’t Co-Op because of rivalry with gangs which is almost as pathetic as Hillcrest people not turning in the killers of that young man last yearMove to 8-Man, or Co-Op
Well, I picked the Bears to win. Mostly because I think Tennessee will struggle all season. Hard for me to say how Caleb will do because I didn't see a down he played in pre-season. But from what I have heard and read he should be fine. Again, the Titans are pretty weak.Prediction Time
How do the Bears do in game 1?
How does Caleb perform in game 1?
What week do we realize our offensive line issues are not yet fixed?
Very gutty call…I'm 1-0 on the young season after picking the Flyers last week. I hope I don't go 2-0, but I am taking Oswego to beat the Hilltoppers in a physical battle on Rt 71 tomorrow night.

Move to 8-Man, or Co-OpA load of CPL teams get the majority of players when school actually starts. I would bet those teams will play games when they have enough players with the minimum practice days completed. It's tough to understand how difficult it is for teams in the CPL until you are around the CPL. While most fans can't possibly imagine teams not practicing during the summer or lifting all year during the offseason, getting kids to participate at most schools in the city is a monstrous task.
