It won’t be tonight. After 3 intense days of football, tonight is for Mrs. Rock. Can’t believe she still talks to me after 31 years. Must be the romantic dinners I lavishly spent on her in the past. But tonight is special, I’ll add candlelight this time to our steak burrito dinner. Then the next time we’ll talk is after Thanksgiving. Maybe that’s the secret to our happy relationship.

You laugh @chakazulu89 but you know full well you and I out kicked our coverage in the wife department. I hope they never get their eyes fixed and they most definitely enjoy that we turn 17 years old every year from September to December 😂

I was at the game and Herscher left me shaking my head. They had some success running the ball against CC, so they decided to start passing. Bad choice. So they went back to the run game and had some success again. So they started passing again. I think the QB was picked off 4 times. I don't get it. Anyway, I'll take the win !

Saw that Purcell posted some highlights. I didn't see the game, is it going to be QB by committee for y'all or was there an injury, or just getting a kid his 1st varsity snaps if game was out of reach?

Newton, GA at East Side

Georgia football is tough, the last time the flyers played a Georgia team the offense didn’t show up, However this year I am going to take the flyers in this one. Newton has team speed nice size o-line and some good running backs and receivers Qb does not have a strong arm but does throw good short passes. The Flyers still will have to play mistake free football.

I can also tell you I'm hoping for ome upcoming network to possibly get back into the TV side and preps....but that won't happen for some time.

When Edgy joined Marquee Sports Network a couple of years ago, I thought the network was going to start covering high school sports a little more often. Obviously the Cubs are king, but I would have thought Marquee would take the place of the late, great High School Lites that aired on soon-to-be defunct NBC Sports Chicago. But nothing has come of Edgy joining the network (not sure if they’re still working with him TBH), and it looks like there will be no high school highlights show on TV again in the Chicago area this fall. And frankly I am not sure if there will ever be one again. Too bad.

I was busting your chops because you often talk about private school's recruiting. Seems like a long distance from the Bolingbrook area to LWE, with a lot of high schools in between just saying. LOL

Was wondering about that because I was very stunned to see that score, especially considering the game was at DLS. Now I know why.

Hopefully, Harold - who did some real good things in his previous CCL tenure (think he was at Hales Franciscan) - can right things. But also sounds like it'll be a long-term process.
