Providence 17 LW Central 0

Well it should be clarified as ugly HS game. Watching Northwestern give a game away with play calling and WIU vs Indiana it was far from the worst Friday activity.
Here are a few notes: Providence is the new undisciplined leader in penalties…of all shapes and forms. Celebrating a fourth down interception that cost your team 35 plus yards in field position? LWC botched snap on a punt 7 points instead of 2? This game should have been won at halftime for Provi but LWC did rally back which was a highlight. Celtics had 3 penalties to start the second half with two being major walkoffs. A ton of work to be done for both sides.
Question…Injuries to LWC a factor coming into this rivalry game? It had the crowd size everyone wants in their stadium as a plus…and the split the pot 💰!

Rochester vs Cardinal Ritter (Week 2)

A big positive from this game is lots of good play to build on. Thankfully, the Rockets will not see this size or speed for the rest of the season. I'm still shocked at the size of that right OT....I guess Orlando Pace never left St. Louis!

CS8 coaches in analyzing this game film will, again, find themselves in the unenviable position of having to plan an attack against an intransigent Rocket defense.

The offense will be a big question, but one I can't wait to see the answer to. DL and KL will come up with something brilliant, I'm sure.
“Intransigent”? Cmon dude I haven’t even had my coffee yet. Ha.

Rochester vs Cardinal Ritter (Week 2)

I thought a shootout was more likely than a battle of defenses.

The Rocket defense was outstanding, especially considering the size difference up front and that Ritter had a huge time of possession advantage.

Ritter's defense was excellent against the run all night. When Zulauf was hurt, that became critical. The backup did as well as could be expected, considering this was his first meaningful varsity experience and was still playing DB.

Rochester vs Cardinal Ritter (Week 2)

It very easily could have been the score, but for the Rocket defense playing so unexpectedly well. I'm glad to be wrong on that one. But look me in the eye and tell me you were proud of the offensive effort.

Oh...and I'm still more on target then the posters who predicted a Rocket victory.

ROCHESTER - When you lose your starting QB in the first quarter and only score 3 points the rest of the way ... it's a long night. Just ask Coach Leonard and the Rocket faithful.

Parker ran for 160 and two TD's
Those RBs were beasts for CR. Along with the QB, they were provided some great protection by that behemoth line. The Rochester D did a great job coralling the CR horses for a quarter and a half before finally being worn down.

All.... Got it. Thanks. Ratsy P.S. The resident mouths seem to be quiet at the moment.
Don't sell yourself short rodent...you were plenty loud last night. But in all seriousness you must have missed the whole other thread covering this game. That would have given you the info you needed. Why do you care so much about "small ball" anyway??

Feetos Friday Upset Special.....

With a ton coming back I thought Crete was set for a big season.
They choked to Richards who got spanked last night but will win their weak conference & have an early round 1 or 2 exit in playoffs. Concrete Money will also win their even weaker Conference & face the same fate as Richards

CS8 Predictions-Week 2

Al.... A query if I may sir, Do the Rockets win if young Mr. Zulaf doesn't go down? Just curious.... Ratsy
Uncertain.

However, there would definitely be more completed passes and sustained drives. This translate to a fresher defense. The real issue is the quarterback was also the starting safety. So therefore, he could not sit down with Derek and go over plays in order to better understand them in real time. There will be a surprise at quarterback next week.
