Naperville Central for sure years ago.
Loyola and Mt. Carmel were ranked in the top 80 or so the last few years.Besides ESL what other Illinois schools have been nationally ranked over the years?
I' MC's record in 8A title games is 1-2.
It's stunning really. Can even narrow it down to the last 10 years in many cases.Every school in the Chicago area is going through demographic changes other than private schools and the wealthiest schools. I’ve actually done a ton of research on this and it’s astounding how much schools have changed in the last 20ish years.
Though I m not even close to having any kind of great knowledge about the league, I think the SAME 12 teams have composed the mid-suburban league for more than 30 years which probably means they should be included in any “most stable” list of conferences in the Chicago area. The SSC and WSC are the most stable conferences in the Chicagoland area.
I find this interesting. What youth teams are having great success right now?Youth program has been way down in recent years. Still don’t see much light at the end of the tunnel based on current youth program results. I know that doesn’t always mean much but often times it does mean bad news for the high schools.
Every week there are forfeits in the CPL. Half of the time, those teams come back the next week and not only play, but win in dominating fashion. Just one of the great quirks of Chicago Public League Football. What does this even mean?
What does this even mean?If DLS was in the CPL, they would forfeit this week due to lack of players, then come back next week with 20 new guys, then hang 60 on Naz next week.
Different situations. I think OC makes a huge difference there. Watching last night made me think of how much better their scheme is. On the flip side, Caleb has definitely had bad passes. Daniels has had much better decision-making so far.Through 3 games...
Williams...70-118 for 630 yards and 2 TDs 2 INTs
,.1-2 record.
Daniels...61-76 for 664 yards and 2 TDs and zero INTs...2-1 record
Was the #1 pick not so pre determined?
It was!Good stuff several years ago on this board when Rita visited Sterling in the playoffs.
Good stuff several years ago on this board when Rita visited Sterling in the playoffs.Sterling Golden Warriors, although I’ve been a little quiet on these boards the last couple years, maybe in a year or two I’ll chirp back up!.
I've posited "one game at a time," but for me, it's an 8-1 or 7-2 Rita hosting a 1st Round opponent in 7A.Rita in the playoffs? Again? Seems more than likely.

Heck, with 1-32 seeding, why not November 30th at Hancock Stadium for the 105th meeting.Rita in the playoffs? Again? Seems more than likely.
