Pretty rare feat I would guess

Speaking of Glenbard North…feel like we haven’t heard from them in awhile.
The Maine South/West/East thing is what got me thinking about the success of L-W East/West/Central fb this season.
I am a believer in the theory that top-end football programs are "destination" schools and top prospects' families tend to gravitate toward those programs rather than a middlin' program, and thus I would think that the the District 210 football situation would resemble the situation that exists seemingly forever with the "Maines."
That it's not is something I find rather impressive.
Looking at comments and trying to recall the past, it's definitely possible that at some point, the Napervilles and/or Wheaton's were all strong at the same time.
And I looked this up: In 2021, Cary-Grove won the 6A state title, and the other three schools in the district all qualified for that year's playoffs. While Cary went 5-0 in the playoffs, Crystal Lake Central won two rounds before losing to Cary-Grove; Prairie Ridge won two rounds before losing; and only Crystal Lake South went bust in the first playoff round.
That is a heckuva accomplishment by a four-school district.

EDGY/Daily Herald: 8 underclassmen who could make some Round 2 noise

Blaise Lavista Libertyville (Junior), 6'2" 190 lbs. wide receiver/defensive back. On the offensive side of ball; 53 Receptions; 1296 yards; 23 td's. On defensive side, 24 tackles; 1 fumble recovery; 1 interception. Lavista also has all-purpose yards, kick and punt returns. Certainly respectable numbers for Junior.
Already featured multiple times in the DH as well as here.

WARREN 31, PALATINE 24 —- FINAL

You shouldn't have to use street parking. The main lot you will have trouble getting in. But just north of the stadium is another lot at Field of Dreams. A bit of a walk (few hundred yards) but not bad at all. You will find parking there. Put Field of Dreams in your GPS. You enter off Hart Road just before hitting the high school. Walk past the baseball fields from the lot and you will come up on the stadium and school. I park here anyways because it is also way easier when you leave.
Are you talking about the field on O]Plaine Rd or do they play at the campus on Washington now?!

WARREN 31, PALATINE 24 —- FINAL

I would say a good 2-hour game especially if Warren can control the clock with the running game. But either way try to get there earlier because that parking lot fills quickly and there is not a lot of options other than street parking around there

Who else? Warren plays M.S. let's see if Barrington can stop the run. If Mac runs the ball well. If Warren does lose it will be extremely physical. The game starts in the middle of 3Q. I have seen the last 7 games. When did Mac start coaching? That is what I care about.
yea I don't doubt that Warren will be a tough out I was just responding to your suggestion that Barrington took Warren off their schedule because they don't want to play them. Not true. Barrington has had success against Warren including in the playoffs.

Bears

Had plans today, the game was on but wasn't focused on it. What I did see wasn't great. My question is for the members of this board, why do all of the players get a free pass? Almost zero comments about execution, just all on coaching.

Friends and family I was with criticized the coaches but blamed the players more for lack of execution, but everyone here lays it all on the coaches. Why? Why does Caleb's inaccuracy get a free pass when Fields didn't? Why do you comment about coaches not making adjustments but not defenders ability to make a tackle? Caleb holds the ball too long or can't just throw to the check down and it's all on the OL and not him.

Why do you all hold the Bears to such high expectations? Their last 2 championships were 1985 and 1963, so they have one title in the last 61 years yet you continue to be disappointed when they don't succeed. Explain.

Daniels is miles ahead of Williams in terms of rookie development yet you are all in denial that Williams may have been the wrong pick. You have convinced yourselves that since he was the #1 pick that he has to be the guy.

Next coach? Vrabel? I personally love the guy, but shocked someone here mentioned him. For a bunch of guys that want the Bears to put up 50 points a game I'm surprised you'd want another defensive coach. Any offensive success Vrabel had was due to Derek Henry. If you want a new HC the correct answer is Ben Johnson.
I don't see where anyone is leaving the players out of criticism totally. They are paid to produce and clearly some aren't. But several of the coaching decisions are and have been questionable at best and disastrous at worst. Sometimes I wonder if these players know what direction they are going from week to week with this coaching staff.

It made no sense to me to keep Eberflus if the Bears were going to get rid of Fields and draft a new QB. Now is the time to fire Ebeflus. Not at the end of the year. The Bears need to cut their losses with this guy. He simply isn't a capable NFL head coach. The team is very undisciplined. That is coaching above all else. Guys do get fired in the middle of the season...unless they coach in Chicago for some reason.

I said before, this isn't a playoff team...and it isn't. In the playoff picture, the Bears are sitting at number eight. Yet, right now according to NFL.com the Bears playoff probability stands at 10%. Obviously, quality of the team and strength of remaining schedule has something to do with that. Because the 49ers are ninth, have the same record as the Bears, yet their playoff probability is 54%. Something else factored in is where the division leader is situated with record, who the Bears have to pass etc.

Either way, the Bears are not a playoff team and need to fire Eberflus to move on, right now.
