If I feel like giving him the benefit of the doubt I’d imagine he’s talking coming out down 13 with the ball to start. We know how it turned out.

More realistically I’d chalk it up to coach speak. Tend to agree with Crusader that it wasn’t much, if at all, in doubt. ESL defense was in the backfield from the jump.

For some reason, the Mustang Broadcast did not do this game against Quincy. Mustang home games have been on Youtube this year.

Against Quincy, they were on NFHS, which as McCaravan pointed out, was a good feed with a very good announcer in Matt Rodewald.

I have no idea for next week. I wouldn't be surprised if our game is either on WCIU or Marquee, to be honest.

Semis… LFG …what are the best matchups???

Althoff gets a rematch with Camp Point, the team that unceremoniously ended the Crusaders' season last in the quarter-finals. This year, the game will be played on artificial turf* and in front of the Belleville faithful. I hope they travel as well as they packed their home field. Althoff has decent seating for the away team and they can do what they want on their side of the field. Just not the home side or the end zones.

* Aside from the small visitors' stands, CPC's grass field was great, and the stadium was very nice.

I honestly think both 7A semifinal games will be tight. Kudos to Batavia for their comeback win against a tough LWW team and this tough win against a team that was one of the favorites to win 7A.

All.... I'm still trying to find out about the Raiders kicking game. QND is up by seven with a little over four minutes left in the game. They have a fourth and four on the Trojans five and decide to go for it and not the short field goal. I believe the Raiders kicker is a freshman but at that distance I like the odds they go up by two scores. Just curious. Ratsy

I think Naz -20 is an actually appropriate line. Calpreps has Naz as a -13 favorite in the playoffs on a neutral field…tack on another score for the home field advantage and you get to -20.

SF has had an excellent year, and they are going to be a prohibitive favorite in 5A next year with all they’re bringing back, but this will be Naz closing out this decorated senior class’ chapter with one last title.

I have zero expectations going into this game.
