Jca vs morris

True. But in the end, like JCA does, they won all of them. Don't doubt them and good luck against Morris. Seems like several years ago...maybe around the turn of the Century..I saw Morris and JCA at the stadium for what I remember being a playoff game that came down to...again I think... a winning FG attempt by Morris as the clock was going to run out or would end up being close to running out.

Again, I believe Darlington was coaching at Morris. The thing I remember about him was how I wondered why he spent most of that game further onto the field than half his players....and no flag was thrown.

Maybe you can help me with this. Maybe it was a 4th down play JCA stuffed and not a FG. I think it was a Saturday game. At any rate that was one of the best HS games I ever saw. It does take a back seat to LKPT beating Hinsdale Central at HC in the playoffs of maybe 2002?
Because he must have thought it was a good idea, on 3rd Down with the ball paced in the middle of the field Darlington called a sweep left. Mike Goolsby shot through to throw the ball carrier for a loss, leading to the ball being placed on the left hash mark from where they attempted the winning field goal. The poor kid would have had a dead on attempt but it was not to be.

Here you go, I'll play. The concern was legitimate if you consider that their 6-3 record could have easily been 3-6. The season included a 14-13 win over Fenwick after Fenwick missed a 2-Point Conversion with a minute left the game. They tied the Marist game with FG on the last play of regulation, then saw Marist doink their PAT attempt in OT, scored a tying TD and got PAT for a 31-30 OT win. Ended the regular season with a 21-18 Week 9 squeaker at Providence. Those 3 could have slipped away they are a good 3-6 teem watching the playoffs. Instead, it says a lot about the character of this squad.

Success Factor/NAZ

I was not part of the process and therefore do not have an insider's insight. Nevertheless, the following unofficial explanation, which is solely the product of my mind, might be the justification.

I think the success factor was last modified at the same time football districts were approved. The districts were designed to work in fixed two-year periods of time so each school would have the opportunity to host every other district member. They would host a district member in one year, and then play that district member on the road in the other year. That could not be done if a district member were moved to a different class level based on a rolling success factor. Consequently, in order to align the success factor with the approved district plan, the success factor needed to be based on the same two-year fixed period as the districts were based on.

When the district plan was subsequently voted out, they could have and probably should have gone back to the former success factor, but they didn't. It would have required a separate vote because the success factor was not a direct part of the district plan.

That seems to be the most likely explanation.
Thats actually a logical theory (I mean as logical as can be given the context of the SF rule AND districts)

Naz vs St Francis

PJJP, again I will not be betting on this game but regardless of outcome I would likely be interested in a normal bet in the favor of the winner of this game for the chip! All that said, my pick for tomorrow’s game is for St Francis to upset the oddsmakers and also win the ML! SF -4.5.
Wow. This pick surprises me, especially after you said earlier you were leaning Naz.

Success Factor/NAZ

Sorry all the posts above were just making me dizzy and my understanding of the Success Factor (SF) has decreased, the more I read.

So, if JCA beats Morris the SF will kick in for JCA with 2 trophies. ( I'm fairly sure that's correct.)
BUT
What if JCA's enrollment puts them in the 4A high side next year? Would the SF only drive them up to 5A? Or 6A, 2 classes?

Also, I'm kind of still sleepy from my nap. :)
All.... You happened to miss my post in this thread and I referenced that subject. If the Hilltoppers make the final again and next year their new two year enrollment average ( multiplied) would happen when postseason qualifiers are announced fall into class 4A the SF is still in effect. One bump up in class. So 6A. Ratsy

Ignorant take in this article.

The fear of a C.J. Stroud/Jordan Love planet. Triplets in looks, personality and play. A “Got Next” one coming straight outta Frankfort. Future shockin’ like if the Bears haven’t made an extension, picked up the fifth-year option or made a clear decision on Caleb Williams by 2029; we could be looking right now at the player who could one day be for them what Jalen Brunson should have been for the Bulls coming straight outta Lincolnshire.

Maybe . . . naw, why go there? Forgive, I already did.

Someone please refresh my memory. Before the season, wasn't I reading posts from some JCA people saying they would have trouble making the playoffs this year? Some guys were real concerned. Now here they are in the semi final and WILL be going to the Championship game.

Two things. One, sandbagging is not cool with me. Second, come on. It's JCA. It is expected to see them in the Playoffs. 😃

Idk he’s been talked about since the first game of his Freshman year as one of the best QB’s in the state and everyone knows he’s really, really good.

This feels like when UCONN tried to play the “we’re disrespected” card last March when like 50% of people picked them to win March Madness.

Potential Cary grove estl rematch

East Side is a team with no "stars" this year.

Senior quarterback Kendrick Lyons has thrown for 2,183 yards and 21 touchdowns. ... Senior running back (uncommitted) Larevious Woods has rushed for 615 yards on 85 carries and 15 scores. ... Senior RB (Kent St.) TaRyan Martin has rushed for 462 yards. ... Senior WR (uncommitted) Christopher Bennett Jr. leads team with 592 receiving yards. ... Sophomore WR Ronnie Gomiller has nine touchdowns and 489 receiving yards. ... Junior (DE/DT) Keandre McClendon has team-high 118 tackles and nine sacks. ... Junior (DE/DT) Caleb Brown has 102 tackles and 14 sacks. ... Senior MLB Elmo Gilliam Jr. has 108 tackles and five sacks. ... Senior CB Raheem Floyd and sophomore CB Phillip White have three interceptions each.
I think Fresh and CJ are going to Lindenwood. Unless something has changed

Will anyone take up Jwar on his inevitable offer of a wager?

So many subplots to this one.
