Here’s a comparison for contrast…

Oregon’s other RB commit in this class is Jordon Davison of Mater Dei California. Similar ranking to Hill depending on the service. Mater Dei arguably top HS program in the country. This weekend he ran for 200 yards and 3 TDs in Cali playoffs against St John Basco. Basco has more than 20 players with D1 offers that Davison would be competing against.
You may recall Bucky Irving from humble, south suburban, 5A, public, Hillcrest HS was an impact player at Oregon following a short stopover at Minnesota.

Wrong. Taxes are forcibly extracted by citizens in the district, including the families of players, and subsidize student tuition. In no universe can it be said that using services already paid for is “free”.
You are correct in this. However, those who choose to go to private schools, not only pay the property taxes, but also the extra tuition and fees incurred at the private school. So, it can That the tuition is free since people proclaim. The private schools have a superior advantage.

Am I the only one…

who thought Sam Brief had a very good if not great call as play-by-play on the 1A and 2A championship broadcast? IMO, he brought the excitement despite the lopsided scores, didn’t bore us with repeated stats, and took some of the sting away from listening to ‘that’s a fact’ Jack McInerney.
The best thing about Sam Brief is that he kept it short.

Institute a voucher program…let the student-athletes cross boundary lines to choose their commuting distance and potentially build A+ teams. This would be for ALL student-athletes.

You have a fixed enrollment MAX and to get accepted to your destination school/program you have to take an entrance exam and score well enough to be accepted. Limit (3) attempts across (3) destination schools. This process places academic efforts where they should be.

Only rule is you can’t transfer after Sophomore year.

Just have true 1 to 32 seeding. In 3a it should be Byron vs Montini.
I like this but my only issue is neither Montini or Byron should be 3A. I don't blame them as it's the rules in place but waivers need to be adjusted and much harder to get (I would like to see only 1 class drop per 4 years) and I think waivers and SF needs to apply to publics also. This would put Byron in at least 4A/5A and Montini in at least 5A, where I think both belong. 3A without them would be a much more balanced and competitive bracket, I would argue both would be top 4 teams in either 4A or 5A.
