Nominate: Week 9 IHSA State Wide Player of the Week?

Throw a little love to a small school guy in my parts. Aidan Podowicz all 5'7'' 130 pounds soaking wet of all of him. Got moved to QB 3 weeks ago after starting QB tore ACL, MCL and Menicus. Helped Clifton Central win 3 straight games to get into the playoffs. Threw for 149 yards and 2 TDs, Ran for 121 yards and 2 TDs had 80+ Return yards and got the game Clinching interception at the end of the game. Aidan is one of only 3 Seniors on a very young squad and the only one who starts. Put the team on his back last night.

SF 39, Naz 36 FINAL

I will say I would not want to be the kid that got the late hit penalty in the film room. I doubt Racki could see it from the other side of the field, but it was bad, way late and out of bounds…..then taunting the crowd.
Cmon Racki won’t care. That type of play is on-brand for him since his Driscoll days. Back in the early 2000s when SF was a shell of a football program, the guy onside kicked up like 50 points.

Next year when they lose all their starters, I respectfully hope Mac gives them the 2022 Bishop Mac treatment.

SF 39, Naz 36 FINAL

Clearly the second part was tongue in cheek as there is only one true king. The first part I feel is accurate 7-1 team coming in against 6-2 team after beating the pants off one of the teams that beat the 6-2 team. 7-1 team has back to back state champ returning starters one team “favored by 22” giving up 4th and long plays fake punts it’s not disrespectful just an observation.
Naz has played as a much more cohesive team this year, but if you go up and down each roster this outcome should not be shocking.

SF has a bigger line on both sides of the ball, division 1 QB, several D1 receivers…Naz is the better football team but there’s a reason SF was able to go in and beat Loyola at their place and the reason is “talent”. Young talent sure, but talent nonetheless.
