Why would Chatham even show up for the game?
Some teams that had cupcakes started the playoffs 9-0, which means they deserved to probably get the easier games.Obviously, every team still alive deserves to be playing. My point ... some had a much easier path and there are still some blowout games out there.
It took me only 1 time watching the clip to see #2 does the gun brandishing while the ref is 5 feet away staring right at him. You can clearly see him grab the waistband and raise. And if there was any doubt that #2 is or isn’t brandishing a gun, you can see #26 (there is no #22) with his back turned to the ref (facing the camera) also brandishing the gun.
Pretty cut and dry.
PI flag = bad
Taunting call = good.
YES I mixed up my numbers and wrote that as #22 (should have been #26) but that was probably obvious and you knew that after seeing there was no #22.Ref is looking directly at #2 when the flag was thrown. I think you are correct, 22 got caught on camera….
The man I'm thinking about - whom I believe is named Kevin -- is an SR grad who become attached to the Montini program later (as a dad or grand dad, i believe). He served in the USMC.First:
Thank you to all the Veterans.
Second:
Hopefully that's not directed at me, MC63, but I can't think of another poster with 'Kevin' in their name.
While it would be a great honor to be considered a Vet, I am not a Veteran.
I may have confused you in the past with my history in the Nuclear Industry. 36+ years as a Nuclear Operator, and worked with many Navy Nuc's.
Fresh out of high school, right after my 19th birthday until just before my 56th birthday when I retired, partially for medical reasons.
They will, they have to.SF came out very flat, got down I believe 14-0 and then had the mentioned debacle at the end. No disrespect at all to either PC or Rita (or DePaul Prep) but it seemed like SF was sleepwalking a bit from after Loyola up until Nazareth.
It will be interesting to see if they can bring their “A” game against Sycamore.

No, they were 2 home, 2 awayUnder the current system, has anyone ever won three road playoff games in one season?
Did Naz do it last year?
For relatively local teams playing each other, you’re right. They always have the option to play on Fridays if they both agree to it.I understand that side of it. But all 16 of those games fall under that?
12 - ritaRank em. 12-10-8-6-5-4. Last week with 6 games. Will go down to 4 games next week.

There's one or two threads on it. Summary: they were up and kneeling it out, refs got involved, SF suddenly couldn't kneel out the clock, PC gets ball back and throws a hail Mary, ruled a TD, game over.Anyone have any insight as to why SF lost to PC?
They scored fewer points than PC. Sorry, I couldn't resist.Anyone have any insight as to why SF lost to PC?
I understand that side of it. But all 16 of those games fall under that?I guess you guys never consider travel requirements for a lot of teams during 5 weeks of playoffs. Not to mention the strain on their fanbases to make a game 250+ miles away on a Friday night.
I totally agree. That’s the best answer I have heard when discussing why a higher seed should have home field. I like this concept it gives the higher seed the option. If they choose to play at home with the first round or two well they can’t complain about having to travel in the later rounds. Based on this it’s assumed that the higher seed only has a certain number of games they can host. This would need to be clarified but I like your idea tigerforflyers.I like the idea of giving the higher seeded teams the ability to defer their home game in round 1. I’m sure the top-seeded teams would always exercise this option to almost guarantee a home semi-final game.

I’m sure the top-seeded teams would always exercise this option to almost guarantee a home semi-final game.1-32 is a must, but I’ll give you a possible scenario that I find highly questionable. IF LF were to be Geneva at home this week, and if CG takes care of business vs BN, the semi final would be at LF. Therefore the lower ranked team would host both the Quarters and Semis.
