Jca vs morris

Weather should be partly sunny and dry, 45° with 5 mph wind from the West.
Probably no surprise on this homer’s pick, but I am taking the Hilltoppers by a few scores.
The O-Line is getting the job done for bruising RBs and I do not envision that changing the rest of the way. The limited passing game has been effective in the playoffs and is miles from where it was early in the season.
On Defense, the front 7 have been the rock of the team all year and continue to deliver as has DiNovo's kicking, which has been a quiet but effective weapon throughout the year.
My lurking concern is Varner being successful throwing to Mumbrue & Wheeler; hopefully those two can be contained.
The program is 19-4 in Semifinal games with the only home Semifinal loss being to Montini in 2012.
A number of the Hilltoppers are baseball players and surely remember too well that Morris knocked them out of the playoffs last Spring.
Not to nitpick, but aren't the Hillmen 20-4 in semi-final games? They have 15 state championships and 5 second places, meaning they have won 20 semi-final games, right?

Marmion Academy To Go Coed

It’s seems odd since it’s not a situation where MA needs the female enrollment. Sometimes just stick to what you are good at but I guess things change as well.
Kind of a big risk that could blow up in their face. I can see the loyal Rosary families coming together and no one leaving as well.

Aurora Central is so much cheaper - I don't see this effecting them.

Marmion Academy To Go Coed

The obvious big question is......

Marmion currently multiplies their boys only enrollment of 520 times two to give them an enrollment of 1040 for IHSA purposes. Now that they have girls, I assume that goes away. To start, I imagine Marmion will have a small number of girls. Their coed enrollment could be around 600 for a few years placing them in 4a where they could win some playoff games.

Marmion Academy To Go Coed

This shouldn't come as a surprise to Rosary. Has been discussed between the two schools for some time now. My assumption is they couldn't agree so Marmion went ahead without them.

Don't really understand why Marmion is doing it. They have a fantastic school and things are good the way they are. Why change anything?

Adding Rosary is one thing...starting a whole new host of programs is another.

Marmion Academy To Go Coed

I interpreted that as they will begin admitting freshmen females, but the philosophy will be one of keeping the girls and boys separate the first two years of HS and then having the genders intermix as upperclassmen. It's an....interesting philosophy.

Really hate this if if comes as a surprise to Rosary. If they have had a good working relationship for many years, you would think they would coordinate decisions like this together. Will be interesting to see if it has an impact on Rosary or even ACC.

Marmion Academy To Go Coed

Marmion is a fantastic school and this will be the end of Rosary.

One thing I don't understand, they want to start with Jr/Sr female classes. Why not start with Freshman and grow by a class each year? If your kid transfers there as jr/sr they are going to have to sit out a year due to the transfer rules.

ICE Semis

The size/speed and depth of the CCL may be too much for both teams. Neither will go down without a fight. I think CC has the best chance of the two being at home. From all looks, DePaul likes to throw the ball. CC's pass rush has been pretty strong all season. The last two games they seem to be getting a lot of pressure. If the coalers can keep that, they got a chance. If DePaul keeps the QB upright, it will probably not go CC's way.

Wilmington losing their best RB is killer. The margin for error became even smaller. Not sure if they will be able to keep it up. Reents will have them prepared.

Althoff vs Camp Point

Tailgate is on - food should be ready by 11:00!
All..... Food? Oh yes it's a tailgate. The plan is to get in the lot behind the church a bit earlier then 11 close by where all that fun occurs.😇 Forecast looks good with a high of 51 on Saturday.... Thanks for the updated info. Go Crusaders! Ratsy

UPDATED PER USD24 BRINGING MY ERROR TO MY ATTENTION!

Addison West- (Cary Grove 2018) Outland Semifinalist

Pretty Cool- Former Cary Grove HW OL Addison West (2018 State Championship) current Ol at Western Michigan just named semi finalist for Outland Award (best interior lineman in nation)

MMXXIV Edition - CCL-ESCC Predictions Week XIII

Saint Ignatius 24 Notre Dame 10 (+14): I don't know what to say about the Prep Bowl Catholic Finals other than I hope everyone has fun

Montini 23 (+3) Wilmington 21: . This may be the Environment of the Week. If this game was under the lights, I may have taken Wilmington, but I am staying true to my Catholic Faith and going with the Broncos. This really could be an all time classic.

DePaul Prep 35 (+4) Coal City 24: Now I may be saying something foolish here, but is Coal City actually better than St. Laurence? DePaul has been battle tested and Coal City has not played much competition and they lost to the 2 decent teams they have played.

Nazareth 34 Saint Francis 28 (+13): My Lord in Heaven...history has repeated itself a second straight year! And it will repeat in similar fashion when the Roadrunners clip the Spartans again.

Joliet Catholic 35 Morris 10 (-35): One of the State's great playoff rivalries renewed! Unfortunately for the Redskins, they don't have the Jimmy's and Joe's this year to compete with the Joliet Machine.

Saint Rita 30 (+10) Mount Carmel 28: GOTW! I was such a buffoon when I questioned St. Rita in week 2 when they didn't pack 79th and Western and got whooped up by the Brown. Since that game, it seems like both teams have been on opposite trajectories (Relax Caravan, you're not down sliding, you're just not yourselves). I am expecting this to be an all time classic in this Mount Rushmore rivalry and I am taking the Ponies to end years of playoff frustration against MC.

Lincoln Way East 32 (-7) Loyola 21: I see this being a close contest into the 4th quarter with LWE covering late. Loyola has too much pedigree to let this not be a close game, but LWE has been essentially the undisputed best team all year and I just don't see their season stopping now.
