Shhhh! LolI see you’re using the @tuccs reverse psychology approach.

I don’t think fans realize how distracting that horn is for both teams. Thanks McCaravan
Some of us understand how to be humble in a win and appreciate sportsmanship. Some don’t. I like the game and someone has to win or lose. East has been very successful in the largest class in the state. Playing in the Semifinals or Final just about every year They will regroup and be back next year. This is a proud program and community.
I just hope they get rid of the horns! 😂
Good luck next weekend. 👍
Another random fact...Richards came to ESL and beat ESL 7-6 in the semis in '13. Since then they have played 4x in the playoffs (all at CCJ) and ESL has outscored them 233-0.Other fun facts... LAs last playoff loss was to Lockport in 2021 in the championship game. MC hasn't lost to a public school in the playoffs since the Nubin game in 201*8. Batavia has only lost to two teams in the playoffs the last 7 years (Naz and MC). ESL hasn't lost in the playoffs to a team (not counting the FF season) not called CG or MC since 2014.
I see you’re using the @tuccs reverse psychology approach.Naz don’t need no luck, unfortunately for my beloved Hilltoppers I think naz is gonna beat them by atleast a couple of touchdowns but will see, definitely gonna be a physical game!

No one should expect a non-competitive championship game. Everyone will bring their best. I and other ESL supporters despise people making statements that we are gonna blow another team out. It takes away from the weekly preparation and competitiveness that our kids devote week in and week out to prepare for whatever opponent is on the other side of the ball. We are a legit program who takes ourselves seriously and opponents as well.they have two other high quality receivers in Finn Weppner (Sr) and Bennet Konkey (So). Both are 6’1” and in the 175-180lb range with excellent hands. Weppner is a hair under 1k yards receiving on the season while Konkey has 500. Weppner excels at out jumping DBs and winning 50/50 balls. Batavia tried to take away Taylor and Weppner ended up with 3TDs.
In their one loss StCN blitzed the hell out of them from every angle possible. The OL had a terrible time picking it up and Chahino was under constant pressure. If you give him time to throw (like C-G rushing two guys several times) he’s deadly.
The ESL secondary will be quite the test for the Geneva passing game but I do not expect the Vikings to lay down. ESL may very well win but it’ll be closer than most think.
LWE lived up to their name. Beasts. Excellent team. Heck of a season Corey. Congrats. You all are deserving. You made it to the big show. I hope all the games are tight and injury free.
LWE is going back to work for next year. Lights out in Frankfort.
Good luck everyone. Great season.
I am not saying you guys dont have 3 good hs WR. Im saying you only have 1 AA in TT. If Chahino is going to throw in to double coverage or force throws in tight spaces, those throws should be to TT.they have two other high quality receivers in Finn Weppner (Sr) and Bennet Konkey (So). I’ll only speak on what I know, but he sees and interacts with those kids just as much as any one of the teachers does on a daily basis. And I’m not sure which Catholic high schools you’re familiar with, but the ones I am do not have TA’s, librarians, or much of any “support staff”. Coaches and teachers are your support staff.@Jenny27 , just being in the building does not mean that everyone is the same. I suppose it would differ based on how you define constant. Student interaction from most to least for me would go teacher, TA, librarians, deans or assistant principals, I would then assume coach walking the halls/checking in on kids would go here, support staff, principal.
@McCaravan you're going full olderbytheminute lately with these posts! I never said he doesn't do anything all day. Of course he does! He's not successful on the field because he just sits around. I remember he used to have a title job too, like Director of Recruiting or something of the nature. Even doing those things it's still an advantage to have that focus whether it be on bringing in future players, x's and O's, opportunities for his players, or community engagement.
I guess you’re sulking today?Loyola is at minimum the 3rd best team in the state hands down this year. However #1 is East St. Louis who they lost to 34-7 Week 1, and #1A I believe is Lincoln-Way East and the game is in Frankfort. Total homer pick here and my first ever on this site, but East wins by at least 14 points. See y'all in 24 hours to either gloat or sulk lol.

They don't seem to feed him the ball nearly enough.
Not gonna do any good if he doesn’t have time to throw. The Flyers defense knows not to give him time to pick them apart, I have to agree with greatgig13 I don’t think Geneva will score more than 14 points if that. They have three VERY good WR’s.
It doesnt matter how good they are. They dont have 3 Talyn Taylors. I remember watching 2 or 3 consecutive drives where he didnt get a touch. They have three VERY good WR’s.
Thanks McCaravanYou are a first class fan. I didn't see you blasting the refs, coaches, CCL, or taking the easy "you get to recruit" layup shot. Two great teams, with strong traditions, played a great game and unfortunately someone had to lose. That's why it's a game. The sun rose this Morning. LWE wasn't a flash in the pan success, they will be back again, and again, and again.

I agree there. But I watched the game yesterday and parts of some earlier rd games. They don't seem to feed him the ball nearly enough. You do not get a 5-star, top-10 position WR without having a QB that can get him the ball. That is an immutable fact.
It’s just grossly overstated and a bit reckless is all. I don’t know much about Geneva outside of Taylor, much like you obviously are not fully aware of ESL’s.Tell me why I’m wrong
42-14For Clown Cup, I was SO CLOSE to picking Geneva in their game, but I wanted to see CG and ESL ... but most of the season, Geneva has been in a game for the Pick Em. I took Geneva every time.
This will not be a cakewalk by any means. I'd say this is a one-score 6A final.
Nah I watched that game yesterday they won’t be able to run the ball at all it’ll probably stay close for about a qtr before the talent and speed difference completely takes overI’d say it’s closer to 14
