Overall had smaller numbers compared to the January MLK event (was expected) but the event I felt went well. Since this was a new format and a first time event...we decided to make the planned strong man portion as a voluntary at the end of the linemen session AM and a no go for the skills in the PM. After a very rugged obstacle course along with positional work and one on ones we determined that taking away the strong man made sense.

Still tweaking a few more names to add but here is a good start.

OL/DL AM session

#1 Reece Mavros West Aurora 2018- really big kid here worked out as a DL but could also easily see time on the OL for the Blackhawks. Went hard in one on ones has good strength and decent mobility.

#3 Hunter Daupares Providence Catholic 2018- Hunter has been a regular on the camp circuit. Is a good sized kid and what impresses me is his overall improve size/quickness. Daupares has cut weight seems and looks quicker and more athletic this summer. Could draw solid FCS level looks this spring and summer.

#11 Ian Fitzgerald Lake Zurich 2018- is just a really solid and very consistent offensive linemen. Has good length and reach, uses his hands well and also has good punch and power. Is consistently good in one on ones and has really developed his pass pro...especially coming from an offense that doesn't pass pro much.

#12 Jose Vazques Glenbard North 2018- another kid who has just gotten better each time I see him. Jose looks a bit taller this year and has also converted weight into strength and is just quicker, bigger. leaner and more athletic than a season ago. Will a good to watch this spring and summer.

#16 Jonny Bottorff Quincy ND 2019- Impressive kid on the hoof. Bottorff is a multi-sport kid just coming off Hoop season and overall was able to shake off some football rust and improve with every rep. Is pretty quick and athletic with a good size frame and Bottorff will no question add more size and strength over the next year plus.

#19 Willis Singleton Warren Township 2020- yes just a youngin and really showed well here. Will be a DT/DE at the college level. Shows really good strength and quickness and has some really strong natural athletic skills in a bigger body. Will need to keep working/improving technique but was also a quick study here.

#23 Denver Warren West Aurora 2020- Denver is another camp veteran who has a chance to be pretty special down the road. Played at Aurora Christian last year then transferred to West Aurora. Will be a monster DT type and is a kid who already has some high level physical tools. Could be a top name down the road in the 2020 class.

#24 Braxton Mayes Aurora Christian 2018- another impressive inside DT here. Shows some good quickness and good feet along with a nice mix of moves and power. Has a real chance to become a really nice sleeper type this summer in camps and had very limited film in 2016 because of injury.

#37 Hasan Jackson TF South 2018- Has some good size and really battled in one on ones. Will play most likely both ways for the Rebels in 2017 and is another kid who has a chance at say the D2/NAIA level. Summer camps will be important here.

#40 Rain Slater St Johns High School (Canada)- 2018 inside OL prospect here...great size and strength very impressive here. Was part of a strong group from Recruit Ready, a training group out of Canada. Has a chance to play BCS level football...has some rough spots to fix/improve but overall game is strong.

#52 Tedy Hickey Maine South 2020- again only a freshman here and Tedy really did well. Worked out as a DL and just showed some potential, strong overall physical tools and is a kid to watch no question. Goos size and strength here as well for a freshman.

#73 Tyree Viner Cox Canada- yes we had a nice group today from Recruit Ready...a training group out of Canada who was in town for this event along with 7on7 in Barrington. Viner-Cox is a good size/quick and very athletic OLB/DE type. Took to this type of event very quickly and showed very well winning the upperclassmen DL MVP. Potential BCS level name to watch as well.

#76 Alex Solak Menasha HS (WI)- 2019 has been a regular on the camp circuit this winter and is a damn good player. Solak has a great motor and impressive strength. Solak also showed very strong overall athletic ability in the obstacle course portion. Will just keep getting bigger and better from here on out.

PM Skill session

#4 RB Alex Sweetland SHG 2021- Yes we had some really solid underclassmen here. Sweetland has really good speed and skills and was impressive in one on one portion. part of a very solid SHG underclassmen group on Saturday.

#5 QB Sam Sweetland SHG 2019- again it's almost unfair at how SHG alwaus seems to have an abundance of highly trained skill kids. Sweetland really threw the bal here. has very solid fundamentals and overall was impressive.

#15 QB Keenan Streitmatter Peoria Richwoods- junior who I was thrilled to get to see upclose and live here. Good sized kid here who also showed strong overall athletic ability in obstacle course. Throws it well and overall is a potential FCS level kid in my opinion.

#17 WR Charlie Hamilton SHG 2019- has very good hands and just caught everything near him. Runs well has good size/length and will add more size over the next two years. Again no shortage of quality WR's at SHG and this is a name to watch.

#29 QB Anthony Norris Mundelein 2018- pretty solid B but to me Norris is just an intriguing kid. Big kid great size, bigger stronger player who could draw looks at other spots down the road. Could open some eyes this spring/summer.

#30 LB Ryan Marrano Naperville North 2018- might have been the most athletic kid at this event. Killed the obstacle course and is just a good sized, very quick and hard nosed player here. Has a chance to open up some eyes and can become a pretty high level FCS type of kid.

#45 WR Johnny O'Shea Palatine 2018- was the best receiver at this event . Already liked O'Shea from this past season and liked him even more here. Good size. length and very strong ball skills. Shows good speed and quickness, can separate and also has very good ball skills. High points the football and uses his hands well. Will draw plenty of looks this spring and summer. Potential D1 to high FCS level talent here.

#62 RB Leon Tanna H-F 2019- sat out last season after transferring into H-F. Tanna was really solid here. Good sized kid has a nice mix of speed and size. Runs hard and no question has a chance to make some noise starting in 2017.

#58 WR Xavier Williams Althoff 2018- Williams has been to a few of our camps and he's gotten better, bigger and stronger at each camp. Good hands very strong route runner with some burst and also strong ball skills.
