Lombard (Ill.) Montini Catholic senior athlete recruit CJ Bufkin
(5-foot-11, 185 pounds) had a very strong 2019 senior season for the Broncos. Bufkin checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news here.

"I haven't made a college decision just yet and I'm still playing the waiting game," Bufkin said. "I've been in touch with several coaches and hopefully I'll be able to get things sorted out soon."

Bufkin, who played running back, safety and also was a standout on special teams for Montini Catholic filled us in on his latest recruiting suitors.

"I've been in touch with the coaches from Lehigh, Pitt State, Missouri Western along with having offers from several D2 schools. I have offers from Missouri Western, Minnesota Duluth, Concordia At. Paul, Nebraska Kearney and Northern Michigan. Indiana State also recently reached back out to me. "
Does Bufkin have any upcoming official visits set?

"I haven't set up any dates just yet but most of those schools have asked me to visit them on an official visit. Missouri Western is making an in home visit on Wednesday so I'll probably set up a visit with them then."

Thoughts on CJ Bufkin Recruiting: Bufkin is just a very strong player and athlete...and is yet another example of how colleges at several levels has just overlooked or bypassed some pretty strong players, with Bufkin being one of those names. I can see Bufkin wind up playing at the FCS/D2 level and he can also be an effective longer term contributor.
