Calcagno is one of the remaining uncommitted top names from the 2018 class. Here is a quick update on his latest recruiting news.
"I'm not sure yet as far as more visits are concerned. I'm still waiting to hear from several schools once the dead period ends (Thursday January 11th FYI)."
"The only official visit I have set is for Kent State on January 19th and that's it for now."
"NIU has also remained in touch and they are still in the picture. We are also waiting to hear back from a handful of Big 10 schools to see if they have interest in me as a preferred walk on."
Thoughts on Nick Calcagno recruiting: Right now it doesn't sound promising for Calcagno....at least on the surface for now. Yet I have a feeling that more than a few bigger schools could extend a PWO offer his way once the dead period ends starting this Friday. I don't expect a decision from Calcagno until the very end of the month. I definitely feel that the sudden and unexpected jump in early December signings are playing a factor in Calcagno's overall recruiting.
