Bolingbrook standout 2018 WR I'Shawn Stewart has been pretty quiet this fall when it comes to his recruiting. Here is the latest update.
"Lately I've been just focusing on my grades and trying to find a good place for me to play in college."
"I'm looking at taking an official visit to Toledo probably this weekend. I'm also planning to make an official visit to New Mexico and I'm setting that up now. I'm also looking at visiting Western Michigan in a couple of weeks."
"Cincinnati is also in the mix quite a bit. I hear from a handful of other schools but Cincinnati has shown the most interest."
Will Stewart sign early on December 20th?
"It's possibly I guess. It all depends on how my visits go and how things shake out over those two to three days."
Stewart also has been focusing on the weight room along with the dinner table this off season.
"I'm back working out and I'm also starting to add more weight. My goal is to be at 180-185 pounds once I get into college and I feel good about my progress."
Thoughts on I'Shawn Stewart recruiting: Adding more weight and size is no question the biggest issue that multiple college coaches have with I'Shawn and it's no question cost him some offers and options. Yet if Stewart can get to 180-185 pounds he has a strong chance of becoming an All American type in college. I'll take a guess and say Stewart ends up at Toledo but I also don't expect him to sign on Dec 20th and will wait until February 7th to sign.
