For those of you that have been on Edgy for some time I just want to say “I miss Fratboy”! I know. I know. There was a lot to dislike. He would praise PC and tell us about his 7 or was it 20 state titles he won while he went there. But, but the part I liked about him was how he would call out BS. I think sometimes we need someone like that on here. He was all over privates and publics(I think he likes MS too)! 😂 Anyway just thought I’d remember the good old days.

We went at it a lot. People like him make me root against their teams, which I always end up feeling bad about eventually.
The HF guy was even worse

MS4EVER you are bringing up the good old days of behavioral adjustments done by Edgy. Now there are more political statements rather than football based banter which I miss the most. I love the fact we can hold some old timers to give the accurate picture of the HS landscape in a State you would normally know very little about. The days of swagger, private/public debates and actually fact based posts are often missing today. LWE as a new comer to the dance was a great way for me to hop on the site and learn some history. Now it is difficult to even mention inside football information without it evolving to prior financial errors made in our district. I just attend and watch games in my role as monitor and let it go , making a few comments a year. Let the haters hate. Good luck to MSouth and get the Swagger back!

I have felt the same way for several years. It seems that some posters revel in being idiots. As a result you end up rooting against their team. It is wrong, yet human nature being what it is, it sometime can't be helped. Then you remind yourself, the posters, for the most part have only a tangential relationship with the school and in no way represent the school or the football team.

Good to hear from you my friend! Best of luck to the Beast. I hear next year it could be scary for the rest of us.

But Rock, look what you said about me last Friday: "You are pretty damn funny. Many on here may hate you but you are honest. I like that about you."

I'm honest, funny and most hate me. Sounds like a great intro on "The Dating Game."

@corey90 is the one that likes you.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like you too but I wouldn’t admit it publicly😂

In any of his incarnations, fratboy was stupidity on steroids. Whether he appeared as fratboy, AlleyViper, KillerCroc, BigPapaSmurf or CCLBluePride (did I miss one?), fratboy perfected the role of an accomplished provocateur. He was a toxic distillation of the bizarre and unpredictable, and every comment he posted resembled a long howl of childish petulance.

If there is one guiding principal in fratboy’s life, it’s an unwavering belief that he was better than you, and you were too ignorant to understand this. A man who spent much of the his time on this forum telling others they were wrong, those who did challenge him were always liable to be mocked, often in crude, ugly terms, or labeled "stupid" or a “dummy."

In my first exchange with that flea-bitten fungus, fratboy contested a prediction I had lodged in my weekly CCL Blue thread. His anger was palpable, but I very delicately and diplomatically composed a response. Miffed at my reply, fratty, unsurprisingly, angrily denounced me as having the "I.Q. of a lab rat."

Fratboy was a colorful character, but I don't miss that moth-eaten maggot one iota.

If edgytim's forum had a Mount Rushmore for sheer stupidity, fratty would certainly be a leading candidate to have his likeness etched into the side of the mountain.

Yes, fratboy and Irish Glory were good entertainment. Over the years we have seen so many posters come and go. Irish Glory used to blow up the Notre Dame boards as well. Don't forget the Bartlett freshmen poster, what was his nickname?

One of my favorite posters from years back... dafont. He was a MC dad that loved to stir it up. Great guy, really miss his posts.

Many WWS posters have come and gone.

Bunch Formation
Xenos
Mel Gray
WWSBob
WWS14

The crazy thing is there have been many WWS posters that never posted on the board that would randomly DM me.

I admit some of these guys were entertaining, I am laughing to myself thinking about some of the goofy stuff they wrote. Wasn't Irish Glory aka Golden Domer? He was a big fan of HF and was always guaranteeing a state championship for HF.

He was both and he would always post the game was sold out and if you didn’t have tickets you wouldn’t be admitted.

Here are some names from the past that kept the conversation going,
Friarman, Rolling Meadows Mom, Sportsmom and Furmunda Cheez.
Oh Sportsmom! I wonder if they prowl the Iowa board now complaining about Kirk Ferentz

Welcome back to the poet laureate of the Edgy board. Hopefully we will see you more during the playoffs.
