I miss the suburban catholic (or Christian) conference - hope it comes back...somehow.

A little history lesson, but I like this stuff….
The original I-8 had Marseilles and Yorkville. Marseilles in the mid 80s was replaced by Sandwich. Marseilles HS eventually closed late 80s or early 90s. Yorkville outgrew the league and was replaced by Lisle in 1991 which was my freshman year.

Dwight

Plano was the longest tenured member of the league, as they remained in when the other teams left to form the ICE.

But I agree that I miss the days of the I-8 from the era you mentioned

Playing at a small school I would have to say that the old MSM was tough. It couldn't return unless rapid growth occurs in Pawnee and Kincaid. Lots of good memories and tight games.
