Impact Player for Champaign Central:
Senior OL/DL Brian Becker (6-foot-1, 280 pounds) is an experience two way starter for the Maroons who will again be asked to provide leadership on both sides of the football in 2020.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Champaign Central Maroons: The Maroons in 2020 missed the IHSA state playoffs and posted 4-5 overall record. Central took care of business against teams with losing records (4-0) but failed to get a win in 2020 over teams with winning records (0-5) in an always tough Big 12 conference. The Maroons will no question need to reload quite a bit this off season with just a handful of returning starters back in 2020. However, head coach Tim Tuner and the Maroons will get to break in newly renovated 7.1 million dollar McKinley Field and major upgrades to the stadium and other facilities on the Central campus.
