Linked is my Final State Wide 2019 Final Class 7A Top 10 poll. I'll start to break down Class 8A thru 5A Top 10 here and will list each class in a separate thread.

Also I generally use the final 2019 Class 8A thru 5A enrollment numbers/classes at this time of the year before IHSA releases the 2020 preseason class breakdown.

Your preseason thoughts on 7A? Post em here.

Teams On The Edge to Make the 2020 Preseason EDGYTIM Class 7A Top 10 poll

Willowbrook
- The Warriors will most likely make the Preseason 7A Top 10 poll but for now I'm just not too sure exactly which starting spot. Willowbrook and head coach Nick Heldreth has no questioned respect for the Warriors run over the last 4-5 seasons, and while the program remains healthy questions need to be asked. Can the program reload with the graduation loss of standout Sam Tumilty who will now head with his older brother Scott and play at Augustana?

Rolling Meadows Meadows always seems to find a way year in and year out, and even with a new head coach in place in Sam Baker I expect this team to again challenge for a Top 10 spot. The bigegst question marks are how can the Mustangs reload especially on defense with 9 starters graduated from a season ago including standout OL/DL Nate Pedraza? Again the program is always strong but will the Mid Sub East be even closer than ever in 2020? I say yes it will.

Wheaton South Gotta admit that the more I look into the Red Grange Tigers the more I feel like they are getting closer to being a lock than on the edge. The Tigers made a strong run over the past two years, the program has numbers and talent and are led by senior QB Parker Brown.

Lake Zurich The Bears are always in the hunt in 7A, yet they also haven't been exactly world beaters over the last handful of seasons. The same questions I had entering 2019 for LZ I have pretty much for 2020. How will the offense be this fall, can they replace 8 graduated starters and find a way to better generate offense and take pressure off the always salty defense? The defense will again be a strength for LZ...but can they get some more consistent help this fall?

Hersey The Huskies had a terrific 2019 season minus two close games again Rolling Meadows and LZ. Hersey also brings back a good core of returning starters (4 offense 5 defense) and senior OL/DL Ryan Gudaitis is a force. Again I see at minimum one MSL East team making the preseason Top 10 for sure. Now who that will be? One of several interesting questions for the MSL East in 2020.

Glenbard North The Panthers had a nice season in 2019 and no question brought back the physical GBN style we have all gotten used to under head coach Ryan Wilkens and staff. Yet North will also need to reload a bit this summer and the always tough Dukane Confernece schedule allows little if any wiggle room.
