Week 3 WB6 and TRAC scores

WB6
Geneseo 24 - Moline 21: Bit of a statement win by the Leafs
Sterling 23 - United Township 19: Close back and forth game. Golden Warriors get into the win column.
Quincy 41 - Rock Island 7: 3 weeks....3 Quincy blow outs.

TRAC
Bureau Valley 18 - Hall 8: BV proving to be different than recent past teams.
Princeton 20 - Newman 0: Newman's offense proves the Achilles heel of their team.
Kewanee 41 - Mendota 0: The Boilermaker train keeps rolling.
Sherrard 24 - Warrenburg-Latham 15: The Tigers get that elusive first win.
Morrison 40 - Orion 14: Morrison winning didn't surprise me...the score did though.
Monmouth-Roseville 42 - Erie-Prophetstown 14: MR is on a roll now.
Rockridge 61 - Riverdale 14: Ouch.

Althoff Tops Centralia 61-33

The crusader boys have been reading headlines. Three and out then a blocked punt. Centralia ball at the 30 however, the defense seems to be pushing them back.

Centralia going for it on fourth down amazing catch first and goal. Back to the 20, then we face mask a dude Centralia going for a field goal. It is good.

Only one quarter streamed. But IHSA reports this score.

Question for the FREE Boarders

I have the ability to open and launch a live chat feature which can be used inside this forum.....

My initial thoughts is to have a running weekly chat on Friday nights.....say during live games and postgame.....obviously I would need to be in the chat but can hopefully pull it off.

The question is....would you take part in these if you could? Again just like an old school chat with the board posters in the same room at the same time....like WWE...could be fun.

Let me know

Feeto's Friday Upset Special....

I'm on the road today, so this is going to be a quick one. Today's upset is..... The Redhawks of Marist over the Ramblers of Loyola. Why??? Multiple reasons. LA'S QB 1 was injured last week. Word on the street is "questionable". Marist found it's offense last week vs BR. Has LA figured out who they are yet....NO. It's a loooong drive on a Friday night from Lake Ave. to 115th st. I like the Redhawks tonight. Final score...... Marist 21 - Loyola 17. That's this week's upset. What are your thoughts and who is your upset?

What did we learn week 2??!?!???!!?

A very entertaining week for sure and a sign of things to come I hope.

1 - That Morrison takes the tigers with a last second kick - down goes No 1 in 3A.
2 - That despite injury, Maine South has a QB - he can play.
3 - That something’s not quite right at Warren and Nazareth.
4 - That York is good, real good.
5 - That Barrington May have a path to 9-0
6 - That Lincoln-Way is a collective 6-0
7 - That Montini and Fenwick are back - well at least for two weeks.
8 - That it never gets old watching former HS studs shine at the next level.
9 - That Lena-Winslow and Althoff appear to be on a collision course.
10 - That sycamore is that close to being that close.

That’s a wrap for this week. Enjoy the holiday and be kind.

DuKane Conference

The non-conference slate has been completed and hopefully the teams feel as if they got most if not all of the wrinkles out heading into conference. What's everyone's feelings going into week 3 for this power conference?

Batavia-close loss to LWE this past week, they're a legitimate conference and state championship contender.
Wheaton North-might have rated them a little too high during the preseason, they get SCN this week, so we'll see where they really stand.
St Charles North-2 nice wins for this program, could this be the year they get over the hump.
Geneva-another team with a 2-0 start, they're on a trajectory that if they end up in 6A they could be a major problem.
Glenbard North- 2 losses to start the year but they'll get healthy this week with a visit from SCE.
WWS-I predicted 3-6 and with 6 pts on the year you have to wonder how things will shake out this year. Huge game vs Geneva this Friday.
St Charles East-loss to Wheaton Academy....no bueno. This could be an 0-9 campaign for the the Fighting Saints.
Lake Park-I gave them no respect this preseason and they're 2-0 to start the year. Things get a lot tougher from here on out though.

GOW-St Charles North @ Wheaton North
