This is the week that decides who's going to the big dance. Looks like we have some great match-ups tomorrow. For this weeks semifinal upset, we'll head out West for the (other) 7a game. This week's upset is..... The 10 - 2 & 13th seeded Trojans of Downers Grove North over the undefeated top seed Ironmen of Normal Community. Normal has been fantastic all season, pounding their opponents in every regular season game. The defense had 6 shutouts this year, and was never really tested, UNTIL....... The past 2 weeks. The Ironmen gave up 58 points in the last 2 weeks, making me wonder how good that defense really is. I like the Trojans, they are definitely battle tested. They've played St, Francis, DGS, OPRF, York,LT, Hersey and Lincoln Way West. They are ready. Their offense has been sold all year, scoring over 30 points per week. Don't forget, this one's in Downers. I'll take the Trojans tomorrow. Final score Downers Grove North 28 - Normal Community 17. That's this week's upset. What are your thoughts and who is your upset?

Really looking forward to this one after what CP did to Althoff last week. Two undefeated's with recent history going toe to toe again on Friday. Great way to kick off championship weekend.

It was a tough game today. Griffins came to play and are a mission. You guys ran into a buzzsaw today but making it the semifinals is no easy feat. Your program is definitely going in the right direction.

Hello & Thank You!!! I need your help. My mind is kinda foggy but after Rita left for Quigley South didn't Cronin Field get taken over by CPS & was called Young Field? If so what years did this last & why did it end? I recall seeing some games there for 2 years maybe 3?

Byron already has a tailgate party set up on 16th street.

Not ONE Friday night nor Saturday night game. Nearly impossible to watch a double header Saturday unless you wanna travel to Mount Carmel for a 4pm kickoff. But with all the other games being at 1 or 2 that’s nearly impossible. Shame on The IHSA!!!!

This is going to be a fun game with much anticipation for the 2 teams. Barrington with its high powered passing attack. East with its incredible defense and balanced offense. This should be a great game on a sunny Saturday.
