Don’t forget Weber,Seton Academy,Luther South & Luther North,St.Francis De Sales,St.Martin De Porres,Hales Franciscan,St.Elizabeth,St.Phillip,St.Martin De Porres & Morgan Park Academy plus Lake Forest Academy,Mooseheart & North Shore Country DayLA
Then: St George, St Mel’s, the old original DePaul Academy, Gordon Tech, Mendel, St Gregory, St Ben’s. And if Marillac were still around, they’d win flag football easily.
Rare but that particular year it did yesSo, the blind draw could also pit a 9-0 team against another 9-0 team or an 8-1 team in round 1?
Again, no thanks.
Like 4-5 Naz who won state finishing 9-5? Many 4-5,3-6 hell 2-7 Catholic League teams could destroy many 6-3,7-2,8-1 & 9-0 teams soWhen is the IHSA going to wake up and go back to 6 classes? Too many IL schools going 8 man, too many forfeiting games and wayyyyyy too many 4-5s getting into the playoffs. Last I heard, Soucie is predicting at least TEN, yes TEN, 4 win teams getting into the playoffs this season. I remember when 5 win teams getting in was a huge question mark.
They will when a proposal is presented by one of the member schools and it passes by a vote of the member schoolsWhen is the IHSA going to wake up and go back to 6 classes? Schools in Indiana been doing it for years. They do a blind draw I think there. One year an 0-9 team drew a 1-8 team & another 0-9 team drew a 2-7 team. Both 0-9 teams won & faced each other in round 2. So in the 3rd round you had a 2-9 team vs an 11-0 team

How did Palatine get in there Rock? Family connections?@MS4EVER Scott looks like I have to set up @PowerI66 with the red and blue starter pack!
Which reminds me of my Public Schools I root for:
Reavis: friends
LWE/Lockport: Friends. Like seeing the rosters and seeing any names from the old neighborhoods and finding if that’s so and so’s kid or nephew or whatever
Playoffs/Paths Cross
Sandburg
Bolingbrook
My North of Madison interests
Maine South since the ‘95 playoff meeting and because the equipment guy is a pretty cool guy
And now my new favorite: Palatine. Hey wait a minute, 1994 semis. Dang it. Aaargh that’s driving me nuts. But I’ve matured since then sort of
618: ESL Not many people know this but been down there a handful of times for 2 playoff games and the kick off classics. They have the crankiest, smartest old fans imaginable. It’s like hanging out with encyclopedias of high school football knowledge that spit and cuss
Welcome to Edgy's board.Really? I don't recall you ever posting about this.
Really? I don't recall you ever posting about this.I never, ever belittled the lower level championships -- only those who consistently particcipate there, but don't belong.
You know this, of course.

How much extra "character" is built by going 0-10 as opposed to 0-9? Some simply won't do it, and I'm not sure I can blame them.
No thanks.
May want to do a Proof read!12 - Cary Grove

you mean LWE but I agree.I would disagree. ESL's win against MS is better than any win DGN has.
I would disagree. LWE's win against MS is better than any win DGN has.I would say that the effort that LWE put towards their schedule created a lot of sleepless nights
DGN has just as much claim to the #1 spot as does LWE
No. Start same week as Indiana & everybody gets in including those lower level CPS conferences
LWE scheduled Maine South week 1. MS was supposed to be a topflight 8A team this year. They still might be but cannot fault LWE for scheduling that game.I would say that the effort that LWE put towards their schedule created a lot of sleepless nights
DGN has just as much claim to the #1 spot as does LWE
I'm gonna disagree with that one. After just a quick glance, I would say Batavia, Geneva and CG all have had an easier SOS so far.Let me correct myself
ESL is obviously #1 in the state
I believe that the substance of DGN in on par or ahead of LWE
- in terms of strength of schedule LWE has the lowest out of any team ranked in the top 20
LWE is obviously good, but we won’t know exactly how good because of their schedule
